I met Pedro one day while I was out in nature and saw him swimming in the river with incredible skill. My curiosity led me to start a small conversation with him, and I discovered that he’s a swimming coach. That immediately sparked my interest in learning how to swim better in rivers and seas.nnEven though I already knew how to swim, the moment I started my classes with Pedro, my swimming improved dramatically. He’s patient, professional, and truly passionate about teaching.nnIf you want to learn how to swim or, like me, improve your skills, I strongly recommend Pedro
WEC has been such a great place to work out. The facilities are amazing and have everything you could possibly need. The staff is always really friendly and knowledgeable, which makes a huge difference. It just has a really good vibe overall, and I love going there! Definitely my favourite gym!
I decided to try this gym because it had been hyped up by the owner Marty. He described this gym as high-end top in all of Montreal with a saltwater pool, basketball gym, sauna, and all kinds of amenities. Also a running track! Amazing! I was so excited. I got there and the girl behind the counter looked at me and my friend and said “what’s up“ like we were bothering her and had a look of confusion of why we were there. That was quite a welcome I will say. We explained that it was our first time and if she could kind of introduce the place to us so eventually she did. This was not what I expected. Everything was dirty. The layout was weird and awkward. The basketball gym is a room, not a gym. It feels a bit like a storage facility turned into a gym.nRusted paint peeling off the walls. The door to the women’s locker room had a big hole where a door knob should be. Literally anyone could peek and look in there.nThe showers didn’t have much hot water except for like maybe one stall. And then it would have hot water, but then it would go back to cold so it wasn’t reliable. I was covered in soap, showering with freezing cold water. There were doors with missing parts so could see what was in the room, we saw dust, junk and dirt. The pool had an oily substance floating on the top layer of the water. A dirty tissue left by the side of the pool. Pool toys at the bottom of the pool with some kind of floating tissues inside the pool along with some other garbage resting at the bottom. You can see where the water and the tiles meet a layer of grime all along the inside tile of the pool. It has not been cleaned in a long time. The entire place is filthy. Cluttered with junk and you can see rust everywhere.nThe running track was a joke. It’s literally a little short hallway with paint to indicate it was a running track, but it was a hallway that was just maybe 20 m long. There is no running track.nI am putting two stars because the owner was friendly, but a little deluded over his gym, it needs to be renovated and to be cleaned. It feels like nobody really cares about the gym.
Manager lied and told her employee that she called me back. Gotta go through email to cancel my membership and as somebody pointed out in these reviews and they still get charged even though they sent the email. Poor management, poor costumer service. Employee told me to come to the gym to get a copy of my contract… beyond lazy. Litteraly can send a simple email. Horrible instituation from top to bottom.
Hands down the best gym in Montreal!nThe staff is amazing, the facilities are spotless, and the value for what you get is unbelievable. You won’t find a better atmosphere or a more dedicated team anywhere else. I always feel comfortable and welcome here — the energy is uplifting and the environment is truly supportive.nNothing comes close — this place truly has it all!
