Wayne's Bagels

Went in today to try this spot for the first time since I was craving a nice bagel. The bagel selection was limited since they sold out of a few flavours, but the quality of the bagel was excellent. Reason I’m giving a low rating is because the price for the actually product you get is not worth it in my professional eating opinion. I got a second bagel just with herb and garlic cream cheese and the cream cheese was super salty. Ruined my second bagel experience for me. Also for an establishment that only serves hand held food they had NO hand sanitizer or any type of dispensers in the store front! Don’t think I will return to this store ever again. Don’t recommend at all.

Here’s the tea. Wayne’s Bagels are good. They have a wide range of different flavours and they are fresh. The sandwiches they make are also super good. HOWEVER, I’m giving a 1 star because which ever location you go to it takes the workers 15-25 min to toast a bagel and put some cream cheese on it. It is actually torture watching how slow they are. As someone who has worked in a fast service industry I can’t understand how long it takes… even if I am alone and they have no other orders I at least give myself a 20 minute wait time for the bagel. TODAY when I want to get a smoked turkey and avocado they made it wrong 4 times! FOUR! First two were without avocado and veggies. The 3rd time without veggies and finally the fourth time after waiting another 20 minutes they made it somewhat right…. It did not have lettuce or tomato but I was hungry. I don’t know what’s going on. I’m going to avoid this place from now on. Does my photo look right? No. Also they didn’t cut it.

I think in the future I might just buy the bagels by the dozen…the sandwiches are a bit pricy, perhaps it would be a nice treat once in awhile. The bagels were pretty nice, maybe a little bit to hard for me personally- I’m more of a chewy bagel person. ๑•́ -•̀ The sandwich is made fresh to order so it does take a bit of time, the ppl that helped me were very kind.

Bagels are delicious and true to montreal style! Just a warning the jalapeño cream cheese is super spicy and I vould barely eat it but would be great for spice lovers! The service needs to be improved as it is painfully slow and everyone seems like they haven't been trained well. I've been back a few times already!

Wood fired bagels help Wayne's bagels stand out from your run of the mill bagels. If you're expecting authentic Montreal style bagels they are not quite the same. They don't have that same level of sweetness, but this is to be expected since they have a wide variety of flavors for their bagels. From sweet to savory. The Rosemary bagels were delicious as were the onion and garlic flavors. If you're looking for something different for breakfast or lunch, you can not go wrong with Wayne's bagels. Parking may be an issue but if you get their early enough, you can park on the street or in the lot beside Wayne's before the neighboring restaurant opens.

Absolutely love this little gem the best bagels and cream cheese around! The sandwiches are to die for and the service is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Amazing bagels! Was very busy when we went so it was a 15 minute wait for a bagel after we ordered.

Went to the location located in the new Calgary Farmer’s market on the way out of Calgary, I love stopping here for bagels! This time the customer service was amazing! I had ordered two salmon bagels and when I only received one because the lady only charged me for one she gave me a container of cream cheese of my choosing on the house! Thank you!

Great spot. Fresh bagels. Front staff are friendly and super helpful. Lots of weird reviews that are not reflective of my experience here 831 10am E SW- Calgary. Lived in Manhattan for three years trying all the world famous spots. best spot I’ve found in Calgary so far

Amazing experience. Great fresh homemade Quebec style bagels. Wife had moved here from Port coquitlam and was worried we wouldn't be able to find a bagel place like they had at home, but we did a quick search and came across Wayne's and stopped in. Little did we know the staff are amazing, great quality craftsmen ship of product. We could have not found a better establishment and will continue to frequent here more and more.
