Waybury Inn

I stayed there once and it's beautiful Country Inn and also where the Newhart Show filmed where were known as Stafford Inn in the TV show I'm very surprised that you even existed had a beautiful sleep very very great meals I highly recommended

Unfortunately disappointing experience for a 53rd anniversary dinner. It didn't seem they had written down our reservation, calamari was far from "crispy" as the menu indicates and had to send it back. The quesadilla was burned to which I made a comment only to be told "the kitchen is really busy with the party upstairs", and chowder never arrived before entrees were served. Wasn't even offered a complimentary dessert for the anniversary couple. The manager did take $50 off the $180 bill, but it's been 20 years since I've been to the Waybury for dinner, and it may be 20 more before I go back based on this experience.

Best birthday dinner ever! What a beautiful Inn. Excellent food in the restaurant/pub. The staff was friendly and professional. I cannot wait to visit the area again and have another five star meal at Waybury Inn.

I came here with a big group of family and had a great time. The dining here is unique in that there's two different areas you can eat in - the Pub or the Pine Room. The Pub is more casual, but still very nicely appointed and warm. The Pine Room seems to have a bit more upscale of a menu. We were sat in the Pub, which like I said had a very warm, rustic feel. The beer list is chock full of Vermont beers, which I highly enjoyed as an out of stater who loves beer. Out of everything I tried, I highly recommend the Ploughman's Platter (roasted garlic bulb with a pot of herbed goat cheese, olive tapenade, and a toasted baguette), and the Woodland Chicken (sauteed chicken breast with Brie cheese in the center, coated with panko bread crumbs and topped with shallots, sundried tomatoes and woodland mushrooms). The dishes are packed with flavor and executed well and the service was very good. I think this place is definitely one of the best options for upscale dining if you're in the area. Everyone enjoyed their experience here.
