On the Creek Bed and Breakfast

While it was very clean and had updated modern appliances, it was completely charm-free. Well-designed so the host did not have to lift a finger (directions not to leave any dishes in the sink, remove shoes indoors, take your soiled towels to their porch...). Decorated in white, white, and touches of black, the unit was devoid of any color and had no art on any wall nor any attractive decorative pieces. The spiral staircase in the center of the unit was an accident waiting to happen. Apparently upholstered furniture was not permitted. Nor was a sofa. Two rather uncomfortable chairs made sure the was no snuggling on the premesis. Never could this be called cozy. Words like Spartan, sterile and minimalist come to mind. With all said, the location was lovely and convenient.

Nice Lititle establishment hopefully I can go to stay an over night instead of towing cars out a there

Lovely people, gorgeous accomodations. We highly recommend On the Creek. Some of the perks? Comfortable, secure and private room with lots of light and incredible views through the windows. Clean and well appointed bathroom (with dimmer lights to avoid night "blindness"!!!) Gracious hosts who don't push conversation but are willing to engage. And when they do, it's engaging and authentic. Felt like friends, quickly. Breakfast? Amazing... fresh squeezed orange juice, fabulous coffee with frothed milk, homemade scones, homemade apple sauce, homemade granola and organic yogurt. Oh, and a baked egg dish, with spinach and mushrooms, a sprinkle of parmesan cheese, all on top of (I think) homemade sourdough bread. All delicous. Finally, close to center of Middlebury, just beyond a covered bridge. Loved it.

Loved this place and its hosts. Breakfast was amazing and that coffee!!!!!! Will be back soon if our daughter gets accepted to Middlebury! Thank you for such a welcoming introduction to such a special place.
