My husband and I got stranded in Listowel during the snowstorm. The Walmart employees all went out of their way to help us. They called a hotel for us, which unfortunately was a bust. That is when Annette, the sweet greeter, offered her couch to us. We are extremely thankful for everything they did to keep us safe and warm.

A WORD OF CAUTION! This store is selling expired 6 MONTHS AGO moldy chocolate bars and when I talked with "customer service" I have to say that they really did/do not care. Add to that they are truly small town snarky! Horrible customer service! Seems the motto is "blame the customer, maybe they'll leave" 1 star only because the rating does not allow a 0 I do have to say that when I contacted the Canadian supplier Premier Brands directly the response was 180 degrees opposite. A fantastic response that Walmart Listowel just seems incapable of. Kudos to Premier Brands and a big FAIL to Walmart.
This store has gone completely down hill in the last year. It is barely recognizable from when they first came to town. Shelves are empty and disorganized, there is always crates uf unpacked merchandise in the isleways, merchandise pricing is missing or hard to know. They have a limited number of cashiers so you either need to line up and wait or attempt their self serve checkout which is equally as unpleasant as the store itself. I also tried curbside pickup as well, and they actually made that more of a disaster than the rest! I hope management reads this and does a 180. I actually miss Zellers, that is how bad it has gotten. I have never hated a shopping experience as much as this.
I was in the walmart in listowel Ontario this evening and I was very disappointed and appalled at the customer service and assistance I was given. Specifically with the availability of the Halloween decorations. Of the 5 displayed, inflatable, outdoor decorations, only 1 of the 5 were available for purchase. When speaking to multiple employees they were extremely rude and very unhelpful. This specific location is an absolute joke and needs to be addressed and shut down immediately! Not the first time I've had a rude and unhelpful staff. Our family spends tens of thousands of dollars per year at this location and we will never be shopping here again until things are rectified!
This Walmart is Okay. It has the necessities but lacks substance. The town is too big for a Walmart this small, this location needs to be a Supercentre. Edit: Shelves are always low in stock. This needs to be a bigger Walmart, it is crazy.
The management and employees at this location are a joke. The store is a disorganized mess. Customer service is terrible. Check your receipt before you leave. Most times displayed price is not the price that rings up at cashier. Use scanning code of conduct to get items free due to Code of Conduct Policy.
Unlike some other branches of Walmart in the USA, strangely dressed and weird people do not often frequent this store in Listowel, which is situated next to Zehrs. Clean and well lit store, their staff are very friendly, and well trained; and if the staff are immigrants, they go out of their way to communicate with customers in English or they find someone else to help. The pharmacy staff were very helpful in helping me with my COVID shots and boosters, even though I am not on OHIP. Also, there is plenty of parking space available, making it easy for anyone to access the store comfortably. Very pleasant experience shopping there. Known for value for money, friendly, helpful staff and a wide variety of products and groceries, Walmart Listowel stands head and shoulders above the rest. Seriously, this Walmart is a breath of fresh air.
Who ever renovated/ repainted the outside of the store should be ashamed. I also blame the management for accepting the really poor workmanship!! They cant paint a straight line!!!, the paint work is blotchy and un even. Looked better before they painted!! NOT A GOOD CORPORATE IMAGE
The few employees I spoke to were helpful and pleasant. Soon we are going to have to stock the shelves ourselves if they don't increase staff.
