I ordered through Uber eats and it was worth it. The sushi was fresh, though the sushi rice wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. I ordered the dynamite, cheese wontons, fire dragon roll, and the gold sushi set. The fire dragon roll was torched and was still warm when we received it. The cheese wontons were crispy and filled with cheese and was just super delicious. I loved the fact that our meal also came with miso soup and a salad. I ordered again a few days later and got Party B tray. The sushi was fresh and was worth the cost! I would go and try W Sushi at the actual restaurant.
I find that the quality has decreased from previous years however food is still alright. Food is better if you get takeout. Fish is decent and the prices are quite fair. Customer service is great and they have many booths. There is no sashimi for all you eat lunch fyi. Overall I enjoyed my experience.
First time back to eat in since before Covid. New management and staff. Lots of new management rules posted at every booth. New cooks are not as good. Place is filthy! Floor is disgusting. Our server could have been nicer and more presentable. The downgrade of this place is absolutely a reflection of the new management.
I've tried many other sushi places, and this one has to be one of the best for food quality, and taste. Also I know this is a weird thing to comment on, but i must add the water was very crisp. It didn't have a weird aftertaste that I've kind of gotten used to from other restaurants, which is sad. I know every sushi place out there has fire salmon or BBQ Salmon sushi, although W Sushi has the best tasting one's. The restaurant is also visibly clean, and the staff are very friendly. Also as far as price goes they're pretty much on par with any all you can eat sushi restaurant.
Most of the people with complaints have issues with UberEats- not the restaurant. Great portions- whenever I order 2 Salmon Sashimis 3 Pc Each I end up with 9pc no charge and the Veggie rolls are simply the best in town. Fish is always great quality and fresh. My favourite items: Salmon Sushi Pizza, Yam Avocado Roll, and Salmon Sushimi.
What a delicious and fun place to eat. The variety is incredible, you don’t even have to have sushi if your partner doesn’t want it. Order tiny bites at a time and taste everything you want. Really clean and efficient service, definitely our new favourite in Guelph.
Went there yesterday for a girls day out luncheon with the family and it was so good spent a few hours in fact! Clean, relaxed establishment, good song list set a nice ambiance, prompt service, abundant variety of options, big portions and tasty food! We don't like sushi so we ordered many other items à la cart instead and weren't disappointed! The table was full of delicious food and we brought home a doggy bag. As we sampled all the dishes we kept repeating "oh my gosh, this is soooo good," over and over again like we were chanting! The green tea ice cream was a bonus! 2 thumbs way up; I wish I could give more stars!!!
My favourite sushi in Guelph. My favourite is the takeout, always fast, professional, fresh, and everything I ordered included and generous portions/large roll size. Will continue to be my go-to for my sushi fix. Well done everyone at W-Sushi!
Came for dine in and not AYCE. Rolls were okay in taste. Didn't seem to be the freshest but can't really be sure. Ordered 3 Rolls and probably took off an extra cup of rice from them... not visually appealing at all. Extra rice may have been an attempt to make up for the lack of salmon that was to be in the roll? Not somewhere I'd return unfortunately.
First visit, and glad I came. Ordered the $29 sashimi and sushi set “A” and it was plenty. Good sized platter and good sized pieces. Fresh too. AYCE would have been $40 for dinner lunch $32 on a Wednesday. I expect prices may need to change with inflation as we go…. I consider this very good value based on the menu I saw and the platter I had. Very happy with my meal, decor, and pleasant attentive service. Judging by the number of orders being picked up for take-out, the inventory turnover must be plenty good, which certainly matters when eating raw fish IMO. Will gladly visit again and try the AYCE menu sometime when I have more time to appreciate the 90 minute munching window.
