Wait time was around 40 minutes. I ended up getting the bento box. The teriyaki chicken and the shrimp were amazing, the sushi however was subpar. I would recommend avoiding California rolls here and opting for the hot food. Husband ended up getting teriyaki fish which later he complained about stomach ache.
Decent japanese fastfood. The noodle bowls are pretty filling. Sometimes the sushi wasn't assembled well and would be falling apart in the tray, but it's not a big problem if you're good with chopsticks/eating with your hands. The portion sizes for the sides like gyoza or edamame seem a little small. This place is convenience and speed over quality, but the prices are reasonable enough for the quality you get.
Staff were super friendly, polite and, I thought, accommodating. I told them it was my first time there. I ordered a sukiyaki beef bento box with tempura liked it and “California rolls” as well as a Kami platter a combo that is supposed to come with 2 salmon nigiri, 4 ea salmon, veg, California rolls. since it was my first time, and the photo showed what looked like salmon nigiri, I asked for confirmation. I was told it was actually one salmon nigiri and one smoked salmon nigiri. I said that I don’t like smoked salmon in my sushi and if they were ok with a change. I believe it was the manager who said of course, you can have two salmon nigiri. Guess what I got? Not only is the smoked salmon unwanted, but it’s strong flavour was imparted on the lone salmon nigiri. Finally, I did not like the California rolls. They were sloppy with too much mayo. It’s a fast food place, I wasn’t expecting gourmet, but still a little disappointing.
The Teriyaki beef rice and ramen was good. Service were excellent. Staff was all really friendly.
Staff was very friendly & helpful. Food was amazinf, specially their signature teriyaki sauce is so delicious. Ambience is extravagant, overall 5/5.Food: 5/5
As someone who doesn't typically have Japanese food, this place is fantastic. I went here for a quick takeout meal and the staff were among the friendliest I've interacted with in a fast food setting. The prices are more than acceptable for the portions you get and the food itself is delicious. Will definitely be back.
I haven’t even tried the food yet, still waiting for my order. Haven’t had Edo in years. I just came here to shout out the lady wearing glasses who just cashed me out. Super lovely, super efficient, took the time to make sure I got the best value for my money, seems to work well with people, super professional yet friendly - made such a normal kind of interaction very pleasant.
Worst Japanese food ever! At the new Edo Japan in Guelph. Shocking. Reconstituted tempura shrimp sticks. Not tempura batter. Tasteless yam tempura discs. Tasteless dynamite roll. Nothing in common even with real, even mediocre Japanese food. Who would dream up such a business?
I went in today and got two beef teriyaki noodlefull bowls w soba noodles - both of which were delicious. The meat and veggies were cooked perfectly and the teriyaki sauce was really tasty. But the customer service made the experience even better. We were greeted warmly by the friendly staff and the one man I think he was a manager or owner who took our order was very personable and kind. He even apologized for our wait time despite the wait time being average and not at all excessive and made us feel well cared for. Will def be back, highly recommend!
Service was amazing and the food came out quickly. I ordered a bento with double chicken on the teriyaki chicken and it was very delicious! The staff came and asked me for feedback as I was eating and when I voiced I wished it was a little more saucy they kindly and quickly got me more sauce and informed me I shouldn’t be shy to ask. I was happy I gave it a try and will definitely be back
