The store is fine. The staff were fantastic. However, I like to buy my pig ears in packs of 8. I’ve been storing and feeding them to my pups for years but something within this batch was off. These pig ears made my dogs sick and molded within a few days. With all the recalls in the past, it definitely makes me think twice about going back.
Horrible customer service. Decent dog bones. No expiration date placed on the twiced baked potatoes, instead of providing the fresh steak kabobs they pass on the brown old ones. I'd say they know how to cash in the chips but don't return the favor.
My favorite stop for the best meal ever. Doggo's too. All family is happy with the healthy plethora of options. Granted not for all healthstyles. Has a good variety of meats, veggie, deli and seasonings.. plus more. This is a weekly staple.
Ordered a Rib Roast, got exactly what I ordered, checked out the fresh deli. The blue cheese potato salad may become a new favorite. The pulled pork was mouth watering goodness. The Cole slaw was a nice light compliment to both.
Busy staffers took time to greet us and explain what they could do to process our wild game. Mgr was helping to train a new employee in this process, she was very knowledgeable and friendly too! We are looking forward to picking up our order from this clean and friendly shop!
Worst hamburger in my life. It was purchased at the Von Hanson's Meats barbeque grill tent at Lumen Cristi's Highland Park block party. I felt Iike I had been served the cheapest, nastiest tasting hamburger patty that I've ever had the misfortune of having been served. The meat had an inconsistent texture, with extra hard, extra chewy sections. I've had premium ground sirlion, etc. and this wasn't even close, this stuff was bad. I couldn't even get halfway through it before I threw it away. At first, I thought it may have been like mix of steak pieces and ground beef, but I've had similar meats like that before and actually liked it, but this stuff was different; this stuff was bad. Because I had just been passing through, I was unable to return it and complain, otherwise I would have. I have no complaints with most of their other food items, but save your 6 dollars if you happen to have a craving for a hamburger while at some type of public event.
I came here from Texas and I had a hard time trying to find a meat market. So I finally found this one on Google Maps. I got directions and finally came here. I asked for Fajitas. And they said we don't know what that is. I looked at my Sister in awe. Then I looked at the meat that they had on display and there was no Fajitas in sight. So I looked to my right and I saw a cow picture I looked at all the meats and we found out it was called skirt steak over here. So we asked for skirt steak and the guy behind the counter was very confused still. We asked them for skirt steak again and they said they have some already marinated and seasoned. so here in Texas there's allot of Hispanics and we like to do every thing homemade. and we looked at each other laughing. Then we told the guy do you have it unseasoned and they said it was frozen and you would have to wait for it to not be frozen. And we just said never mind and left. Worst experience ever. We ended up going to Wal-Mart..
My experience was great for 32 dollars i got a full roast dinner that can and will feed a whole family and I was in shock normally the size roast I have alone cost 30 to 40 dollars and the people was so helpful and friendly I will definitely be back
Love this place. Great selection of house made brats our go-to is Wild Country Brats with wild rice, bacon, and hot cheese and every other cut of meat I've ever needed.
Dishonest weighing of purchase. Purchased a marinated steak. Butcher weighed and charged me for the large plastic bag and extra 1/2 cup of marinate the meat was floating in inside the bag. Other local butcher shop would have removed the meat from the bag and liquid prior to weighing. I made the mistake of not speaking up.
