Vlassis Souvlaki & Greek Taverna

This place is amazing! The outside is pretty unassuming but the inside is a total 180, lovely intimate atmosphere with phenomenal food and service. My wife and I loved it, we’ll definitely visit again! The food was fresh and spectacular.

A Greek hidden gem in Surrey! My husband and I love Vlassis and it's atmosphere! There, you will find a romantic dine-in setting with take-out, authentic Greek food and a very polite staff. Our favorites entrées are the bacon scallops, garlic prawns and their chicken skewers all of them are seasoned and cooked to perfection, so flavorful!. For a main dish, my 'absolutely must try' suggestion is their lamb chops or the roasted lamb meals honestly, I don't have enough words to describe it!. It comes with greek salad, authentic tzatziki sauce real Greek style, roasted potato, fantastic Greek style rice and freshly baked pita bread. Their restaurant is located next to the Surrey City Mall, and they do have a convenient free customer's parking area. Plus, it's Greek owned, run by the same family for more than 40 years in the business. If you're looking for an authentic food experience - like being transported to Greece without ever leaving Canada - that's the perfect spot for it!

So, very unassuming place from the outside. Once we were inside it all changed dramatically. The waitress was amazing, she said that she only works 2 nights per week. I told her that I was scared to order the roast lamb because I had a high expectation. Her response was that she felt strongly that their roast lamb was among the best around. People drive long ways for our roast lamb she said. Ok whatever was what I said. Heard that before, bring it on, let's try your amazing roast lamb. Wow, she was not kidding. Best roast lamb I've ever had hands down. My family were also over the top impressed with their meals as well. This dinner experience was perfect and I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for very good quality Greek dinners.

Delicious! We had lamb souvlaki and chicken souvlaki and it was soooo good! Then cheesecake for dessert. The service was excellent and all the food was great! We will definitely come here again!

This place is a hidden gem. Tucked in the corner of the complex, this restaurant has a nice and cozy atmosphere to enjoy delicious Greek dishes along with some fine wine. The staff is very friendly and easy to talk with. The restaurant also does take out and delivery via Skip, if you'd rather enjoy their cooking at home. Must have includes their Roast Lamb, calamari, and spanikopita.

The server was so sweet. She went above and beyond when she found out the dinner was for my Grandmother's 91st birthday. She brought a vase to the table for her flowers and took our photo to commemorate the occasion. The saganaki was crispy but not quite as gooey as I like. The chicken spinach pie was light, delicious, and filling. My grandmother had the spanikopita appetizer which she enjoyed thoroughly. The mango cheesecake was heavenly. Rich but not heavy and lightly drizzled with caramel. We'll be back again before her next birthday. :

Returning again with My Significant Other for my Birthday. An Excellent choice with this Mediterranean Emerald tucked away an in corner of Central Surrey, has some of the best and most authentic Greek food I have ever found outside of personal Greek Homes. It’s as if a piece of the Mediterranean is right here in Surrey, BC. The Chicken Souvlaki was flavourful, the potato fully brined with care my S.O. stated the potato was the central piece that tied the dish together rice pilaf was excellent and the Tzatziki was lite yet taste the portion was sizable. This is the meal she uses to evaluate and was impressed. Due to Dietary issues, I chose the Traditional Spaghetti, with Meatballs added. This was a culinary masterpiece. The added Keftedes meatballs complimented the rich tomato sauce rather than overpowering it. A result of being in s Kitchen for 30 yrs no doubt! A sign of Love and Passion that carries thru generations and shines in the food they serve. The Wait service was excellent, she was friendly, attentive and outgoing without being over intrusive or gossipy. The dinning Room was well laid out and sizable, easily able to handle larger groups. The Mango Cheesecake for Dessert was excellent I wasn’t able to wait for picture taking! and the Vlassis Coffee with Ouzo was well made and handcrafted. Yes, We will definitely be returning... Next time with Friends!

I brought my family here tonight for an early Father's Day dinner. The food is incredible and generous. All 7 of us enjoyed our meals immensely. My dad said several times, this is the best roast lamb I've ever had!

Food was okay. Ordered Keftedes and the picture from the website was so different from what was served to us. Website has Escargot in the menu but the server said they don't offer it.
