If I could give them -10 I would!! About 15 years ago I had a 3 diamond ring re-set here. The diamonds were 3 different sizes, starting at 1 kt. & the other 2 just slightly smaller then the next. I recently had the ring appraised for insurance purposes & the 2 smaller diamonds are EXACTLY the same size which means they KEPT my diamond & replaced it with a smaller one!!!!! I wouldn't trust them with a fake diamond never mind a real one!!!
I’ve come to this place for many years. Never once had a problem end up talking to the friendly ladies a bit to long. Always great service not one problem over 10 years. I actually have items being worked on right now. Keep up the good work ladies. Always a pleasure. Thank you.
I brought my wedding rings in to get the claws redone. They did an AMAZING job My 32 yr old wedding set looks like new again! Staff was wonderful and got my rings back to me in a week. I will definitely recommend them to others!
I wanted to thank the warm, wonderful, caring staff at Visions of gold for always being so helpful and accommodating to all my jewelry wants & needs. I look forward to coming in each time because they go above and beyond to cater to their customers and make them feel special. They were extremely helpful after my mother passed in repairing her jewelry to where it looked brand new & that I'll forever cherish and appreciate. As a longtime customer, I was concerned by reading the terrible reviews posted over past 3 months. We've shopped there for years, always very welcoming, always great service, always great value. Heck, when our insurer retired and we had to do an independent appraisal of our jewelry for a rider, we were given written, certified evaluations of every piece and discovered that they wert all evaluated at 3x to 8x higher that what we had paid at Visions. Last week, bought a beautiful opal and sterling pendant and earring set for my wife's birthday. She loved it and I got a great price. Yet another cherished family heirloom created by Visions of Gold. Went back to Google to double-check bad reviews. Most were submitted in last 3 weeks. Most authors had never ever written a review before and this was their first. Most reviews submitted before that were very strong review; 4-5 star. Among those negative reviews done earlier, reviewer were confirmed not to have ever even been in store. I have to conclude that the bad reviews are the result of one person having a bad experience and getting others to write bad review. This is a cowardly, false and disgusting attack against a very nice octogenarian independent business owner. Small independent shops like Doris's help keep the jewelry market healthy and competitive. Running and independent business is also very difficult and is the backbone of our economy, so shame on those who would write false and baseless reviews. Wish I could give Doris and her team a 6. Go visit and judge for yourselves, then write real reviews that are a service to others.
Bought a ring from them several years ago. Later on found out we were ripped off big time. They say they’ve built their reputation on being a dependable jeweller but all you can depend on is being taken advantage of. There does exist honest jewellers in the city don’t come here.
Honestly I can't say enough good things about this place & the family who runs/owns it. Every time myself or my wife need anything may it be big or small the end results are always beyond our expectations! Most recently I took my wifes wedding ring in to get some work done with the diamonds and they ended up giving us a whole new band that sparkles a million times more than I could have ever imagined. They also helped me suprise her wow was she was elated, the smile on her face was priceless & we can't thank you enough visions Of Gold! I highly recommend this amazing locally owned buisness for all your jewelry needs or wants!!!
Sold me A piece of jewellery that was worth $3000 and charged $7000 for it. Doris is unethical and unfair. Stay away. If you have been a victim of visions of gold lets get together and make this more public.
Owner and staff treat customers as if they are family. I have been doing business with Visions for almost 25 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. As long as I am able to support them I will keep going and I bring my family there as well
Visions of Gold is the only place in Winnipeg to buy jewellery from. Doris and Nicole are the friendliest and most honest staff there is. We love them!
