Came here after a workout at the neighborhood community centre hoping for a great lunch. Guess what happened? It was amazing! Relaxed atmosphere and friendly people. All positive feedback someone would want and expect from a neighbourhood pub.nnI'll definitely be back for a beer soon.
I've been coming here for many years, mostly because it is a convenient walking distance. The pub has had a handful of different owners over the last 20 years, and the latest one is making a decent effort bringing in events and changing the menu. The servers are excellent, especially Taylor, she never lets your glass stay empty for too long and always provides top notch service.
2024 update, I added a star! The new owners doing some tweaking, butter chicken was pretty darn good kids, wings are really better, like in the bad old days with bun, nachos good - the small is plenty! bringing in events, live music. Keep up the live music, that's fun. Service suits me pretty good.nnFinding prices to be on the high side comparing other pubs with this vibe so -nnI'd love to seen- better daily / happy hour specialsn- some fun beers and ciders on tapn- dogs on the patio hey I can walk here!nn2021 update.nnPandemic got me desperate. No other pubs nearby. So we are becoming regular enough that the weekend day gal knows what we like. I like that. Food.. I’m picky. I see the nachos look amazing but not my thing. Chicken wings again it is.nnSo I drink, I Keno. I engage in pleasant banter with the locals, and the server, when I can. I like her. She’s good at what she does...bit of a mind reader, friendly enough, and no nonsense. Boy it sure is nice to talk to, well, anybody really. I like the local living room atmosphere. It’s not fancy here but friendly. I wish I liked the food better.nnDeep fried battered wings - so alone on the plate you don’t even get celery and carrot sticks with them, everything on the menu is kinda brown and deep fried, straight from the freezer bag into the deep fryer is cheap and easy I guess.nnIt's a comfy classic neighbourhood pub vibe, little shabby but clean enough.nnMeat draws Friday and Saturdays.nnThis could be a good spot if the new management refreshed the menu, and added a couple local craft beers on tap. Til then it’s only good for Keno and a beer.nn*11/07/2017 spent $69 + tip - haven't returned since...maybe soon. Didn't see response from owner til now, is it under new mgmt? I really wish it would become a great destination...I can walk here...
Came to watch NFL and to check this place out. Was not disappointed! Love the atmosphere and staff are friendly. You can see that this place is full of regulars and everyone knows everybody! I love that feeling!
Great little neighbourhood pub. Good for a quick get-together. They have decent appies, and Karaoke / Trivia nights. One of the bartenders, Isidora is the absolute best. 100% on top of customer needs and always has good recommendations.
