Just had a wonderful weekend stay here with my family. The front desk agents were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The lobby was super clean, well decorated, and always had a smiling staff member near by.nnThe MClub included all the standards you expect from a Marriott property. Lots of pastry’s for breakfast with a couple hot food items. Evening snacks were also very tasty and lots to choose from. Service in the lounge was friendly and prompt.nnThe restaurant inside the lobby seemed modern and comfortable. Happy hour however, was definitely lacking. Drink specials were good, but food options weren’t such a deal.nnBeing so central in Victoria made this hotel completely walkable, and felt like everything was just out the lobby door. I would definitely recommend this property, and I would stay here again!
I stay here frequently for work at least twice a month and as a Titanium Elite, this hotel consistently exceeds expectations. Status is always honored with generous upgrades, and the rooms are large, spotless, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is excellent—any requests including water are handled within minutes. The staff here are all super friendly and accommodating.nnThe M Club lounge is great: solid breakfast in the mornings, hors d’oeuvres in the evenings, followed by a dessert hour with cheese, charcuterie, and sweets. Coffee and soft drinks are available 24/7. While there aren’t chips or pretzels like some other Marriotts, the overall offering works really well.nnI enjoy the hottub to wind down after my work days. It’s usually very quiet and peaceful, and I love the bathrobes provided in the rooms.nnReliable, professional, and consistently great service—my go-to hotel in Victoria. The location is superb! :
A few different pros and cons with my recent stay.nnOn the positive side: The beds are comfortable, the room is updated the M Club Lounge had good food and excellent service from the staff shoutout to Sadie who made our experience enjoyable. Front desk / checkin staff were professional and courteous.nnAreas of opportunity: When we checked in, there were housekeeping deficiencies in our room. We brought them to the attention of the front desk. The staff member we spoke to was professional and sympathetic, and said they’d take care of it while we were out that evening. When we returned, only half of the job had been taken care of, but we were too tired to deal with it. The next day, we noticed there was another housekeeping issue. Overall disappointed with the cleanliness and housekeeping. The fixtures in the bathroom were also quite dated, and water pressure was really low.
A decent hotel!nnThe M Club lounge is amazing: solid breakfast in the mornings, hors d’oeuvres in the evenings, followed by a dessert hour with cheese, charcuterie, and sweets. Loved it. Some snacks are available 24/7nnGreat views from the rooms and great central location. The elevators look like they need a little refresh but they are still a usable.
This is extremely subpar for a supposedly 4 star hotel. Starting with the check in... it was obvious a room wasn't assigned yet and she spent along time trying to find me a room.... I'm platinum and this a first for me.... I honestly thought the computers must be down.... but no.... they were just that disorganized. The people before me didn't have a room yet and had to wait and it was 5pm.nnThe bedroom part of the room is decent and updated, but the room bathroom is from the mid 90's. Our thermostat shut off, as in turned all the way off multiple times... We had to have maintenance reset it and it still kept turning off, it was 40° outside so a huge deal. Overall things are obviously worn out.nThe key scan for everywhere is very finicky and makes it extremely annoying when trying to go up the elevator, get in your room etc ... It literally didn't work in P3 until you waved in front of the handicap spot.nnThe M lounge is also very subpar. Staff are dismissive, you have to ask for help and even ask for your bill ... Plus the included food is either cold cheese and meat, or gross deep fried.... Then for breakfast expect half cooked scrambled eggs... ...nnThe restaurant food is okay... But far from options I would expect from a Marriott... And only okay as far as the quality and taste I would not eat there again.nnOn to the nightmare of a parking garage... Dead end with no way to turn around, so you better be good at awkwardly backing around a corner when it's full.nnI would not stay here again.
