We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We came in on the ferry from Port Angeles and the hotel was right across the street. It is close to everything. The food is excellent in the restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was amazing-we had a harbor view room and very much enjoyed watching the activity. The bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly. We would definitely stay here again if we come to Victoria
Omg the staff here is utterly amazing. We had a delay during our vacation that pushed our arrival to the next day. We called and notified them they gave us options and by the time we arrived they had our room keys waiting for us at the front desk. The rooms are clean and the cleaning staff does and amazing job accommodating any request we might have. Yes they do not have AC however we came during a chilly period so that had no effect on our stay plus there is a fan in the room and windows to open for fresh air. 10 out of 10 for my time here would recommend
Convenient location with free parking, room is clean and tidy.nnThe only complaint is about the ventilation in the room. Visited in end of July, outside temperature is about 16°C at night, not hot at all, but the room is 27°C! A standing fan is provided, the room is facing the harbour and the Belleville St., we hear the traffic and the people enjoying their late night gathering at the restaurant downstairs as we need to open the window for ventilation.... And half of the blackout curtains have to be open to let fresh air in.nnThe bathroom doesn't have a ventilation fan too.
Have stayed in all the motels and hotels in the James Bay area over the last 60 years. And many times at the Days Inn. Received a partial refund so have changed the review.nStayed in Room 103, and thought ok the pool is closed, but no!!!! Nothing really wrong with the room, it's average but really stuffy so you need the windows open. Noisy most afternoons and evenings with party people in the pool and spa. Impossible to stay in the room with the endless noise. You have to phone the front to tell them pool is closed. So, you feel trapped. For $300 a night in a former motel with endless screaming and music.nStaff are pleasant friendly and helpful, but they do nothing when you complain.nCost is too high for a former 60s motel.nLocation is great.nRestaurant used to be good, it's now mediocre, all orange and overpriced.nAt $300 a night for noise and the faint odor of old cigarettes, snacks or continental breakfast should be included.nVERY DISAPPOINTING.
The location is the best part of this hotel. You're in the heart of tourist heaven! Rooms were ok, no bed bugs, odd wet dog smell that lingered. No AC, but the hotel does let you know that ahead of time. No exhaust in the bathroom and it is quite small, so large families beware. Kitchenette was decent and supplied with dishes, cups and cutlery but no drinking or wine glasses. Our biggest attraction to booking this hotel was their outdoor pool. Upon arrival we noticed it was empty and front desk said the stairs were broken and hopefully have it ready for the next day. We kept checking in with front desk but in spite of it being filled back up with water the excuses continued and did not get to enjoy it. If this is an important part of your stay with them I recommend you check in with the hotel directly before booking your stay. Staff was very nice.
