Vernon Jubilee Hospital

I had recently cut my hand on the farm, it was bad enough where I needed to travel to the local hospital to receive stitches. Every time I go to this hospital I am greeted with smiling faces pleasant atmosphere, and fast professional services. Im grateful for all the hard work that goes into supplying such a meaningful human service that shows that humans have big hearts. What a blessing it is to have a professional service such as this place offers. Thank you for the amazing treatments.

On the morning of August 22, 2024 I had symptoms of a heart attack. When we arrived at the emergency department they gave me immediate attention. I appreciated the quick diagnosis with EKG and subsequent treatment. Everyone was very professional, while keeping me in good spirits, despite the diagnosis. The nurses in ICU were great and kept me smiling. I was taken by ambulance to Kelowna General Hospital the next day and had a stent placed. The ambulance staff was exceptional.nThe next morning the doctor spent time with me explaining my results, which were good, and what to expect in the future. He was nice enough to come back when my wife arrived and go over everything again.nThrough this unfortunate event I realized how many great professionals work at VJH. Not only great at their jobs but great people. Thank you to everyone I met those two days; VJH is lucky to have you. Gary Novakowski

I won't even give the hospital a 1-star rating, when I was in that place for 5 months. Only 2 doctors were ok at best the rest of them should be FIRED! The Nurse's should ALL Be fired! Terrible care not just for me Other Patience Alot were also treated Terribly as well. 95% of the them nurses and wound care are liars, LAZY, VERY Rude yet you go out of your room and you see them out on the floor hallways having a lady's aid meeting and Nothing pertaining to their job or duties they seem nice at 1st but that's only when others are around BUT when no one is around they are RUDE, Lazy I won't even get into the rest of it ,I just have pity on anyone that has to go into the VERNON Hospital! Go to Kamloops or Kelowna Hospital If you do have to go But I highly recommend To Stay Clear From there, hence why I am Warning EVERYONE!

I have been the ER twice for emergencies and this last time I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff who work in the emergency department and 3WEST at VJH. Specifically Nurse Colin and Nurse Luke in the ER department who listened to everything I had to say and treated me with the upmost compassion and kindness. Dr. Hwang, who has been my doctor both times in these emergencies but specifically this time who told me surgery would be that night and even when we all assumed it would come the next day, he came through. The anaesthesiologist who was on call that night and talked me through my fear of pain and assured me she would take care of me. The amazing nurses that cared for me but specifically ALL the nurses on 3WEST where I spent many days recovering and was cheered on through every step. Finally to the dietician Brigette who let me cry about apple juice and got me a sip of it when I just needed something to be human. While my stay in the hospital was too long, it was a pleasant experience because of the people who work there.

I was recently in the Vernon Jubilee hospital for treatment and care after a Horse Riding accident. I was pretty beat up, broken ribs, vertabrae, hip etc. I was admitted quite quickly and the care was both quick and thorough, but also the staff were truly caring; Doctor and Nurses. The only reason to not be a 5 star review is the Hospital Infrastructure itself. There are way too many patients being cared for, lack of available beds/areas in the hospital. Again, the staff were excellent!
