Nice ambience and fancy food. Very interesting dishes and well cooked. All the food was very nice. Unfortunately slow service and bad handling of possibilities for vegan options not very creative and also just bad communication, even though advertised on the website as a possibility here.Recommended dishesBeef Carpaccio, Shrimp Cocktail
Fancy and tasty food, friendly and chill ambiance, perfect place for dates/friends gathering. This place is a hidden gem and waiting for Montrealers to discover it. Our group of 3 were so warmly welcomed and the server made sure to present us the particularity of each plates we ordered. The food is amazingly good, fresh, quality and have a nice presentation. The price is on the expensive side and you need to take at least two plates to be full. Please enjoy each bites!
We had the best time! Came for New Years dinner - they sat us downstairs and the night was perfect from then on. The drinks were exceptional, food was incredible and delicious and well priced, ambience was great. The first half of the menu is sharing plates, but the last half is full sized entrées A special shout out to our server downstairs on New Year’s Eve , Élodie. She was an absolute rockstar. She serviced a full floor almost totally on her own and did so fast, accurately, and kindly. She was sweet, well versed in the drinks and food, bustled non stop from table to table and made our night incredibly enjoyable. One of the best servers we’ve ever had in a restaurant!
Stopped here for oysters and cocktails. Exceptionally kind and swift service, with delicious offerings on hand. Worth a stop for some great drinks!
Great drinks, great food, and amazing service. I celebrated my b-day dinner there and that was a great decision.Food: 4/5
The decor and atmosphere was unique and interesting but there were very little menu options for eating and the food overall was just okay.
Dined as part of MTLaTable. It was delicious but the atmosphere was the standout. Cocktails were imaginative and tasty.
We hosted a private event here, the night before our wedding. The space is beautiful with a great vibe, the staff were incredibly friendly, and our guests loved the food and innovative cocktails. We would highly recommend hosting a private event here!
Great atmosphere, although they could dim the light. Go for Thursday’s 12$ for 12 oysters, we would have ordered IF they served fries. « Everyone knows you eat 50 oysters and a boat load of fries » -Anthony Bourdaine
We stumbled upon Vandales on a Friday night after arriving late evening to Montreal. It is not often when we travel, and don’t have a preplanned reservation, that a spot picked randomly is such a gem. The design, atmosphere and music at Vandales was lively and fun, the service was very friendly. Cocktails, oysters, porchetta and tuna tataki were delicious, the tuna being the favourite. The lemon tart for dessert stole the show. Thank you to the wait staff and kitchen crew. We hope to be back soon.
