All members of the team are extremely professional, easy to work with and knowledgeable. The fireplace is beautiful and the process to get to install was a pleasure not something I typically think about renovations. They answered all our questions and took extra care with some additional requests we made regarding the demo stage that made things so much easier for us. * From helping us go through the options to find a fireplace with Marie she gets people's style so can also guide you * to a great installation by Jack there was some technical difficulties with our building and he handled it like a pro * with a breezy demo and reno of the wall with Vlad I thought it would be terrible and it was the exact opposite. It was quick, efficient, and much cleaner than I imagined * and quick finishing touch to the top panel of the fire box by Samantha I am so happy it was an easy aesthetic fix, I was thinking the worst The entire experience of working with Vancouver Gas Fireplaces was super easy, pleasurable, and the fireplace is gorgeous. Highly recommend! Exceeded expectations! Very grateful we got to work together.
I absolutely hate to leave negative reviews. They have great options for fireplaces, but if something goes wrong, good luck getting any kind of service. I’ve had two issues. First was pieces broken and scratched upon receipt. It took months and several checkin/follow up emails to finally get the replacement parts. Second was a loud whirring noise that began a few months after purchase. I alerted them to the issue 6 months ago and there has still been no movement towards a resolution. A service person came by a few months ago to have a look and try to diagnose the issue, but absolute crickets since then. Sorry VanGas - you just don’t seem to care about retaining clients.
We couldn't be happier with our first fireplace installation that we have decided to proceed with another fireplace. Installation went well as expected. Due to our unique fireplace opening we had Vancouver Gas team came up with alternate solution which unitized space we had. Glad we have listened. Model was installed Chaska by Kozy Heat. We had an end result that worked for us. Highly recommend to contact them first regarding your gas fireplaces.
We are very happy with this Valor G3.5 fireplace. It is beautiful and gives a lot of heat to the living and dining rooms. The installation went flawless; Jack, gas installer, was very professional, you can see that he has done this for many years. He took his time and did the fantastic job, paying attention to little details, we could not be happier. Vancouver Gas Fireplaces is the place to go, I am now thinking of getting another fireplace for the family room, just so pleased with the outcome.
Full disclosure. I haven’t actually bought a fireplace from these guys. I have been toying with the idea of changing my gas fireplace for a couple of years. My current fireplace is very old - one of the first types installed in Vancouver condos - so it was a challenge trying to figure out what if any of today’s style fireplaces would work. But Vancouver Fireplace provided excellent customer service to help me figure things out. VF sent someone to my home to check things and then they were able to show me which options would work in my situation. My contact, Martes, explained what was involved in replacing a fireplace, which was very helpful to my decision making process. In the end I decided to stick with what I have for a few more years. When I do make the change, I will be going back to Vancouver Fireplace.
If there were zero stars, they've more than earned them! They charge more than most for servicing a fireplace and couldn't fix ours and quoted us over $1500 in parts with no guarantee that any of them would fix the problem. They refused to hear our feedback and frustration with their inept technician. We called the manufacturer and a nice lady walked us through what could be the problem and it was a loose connection - how is it that these guys supposedly serviced our fireplace but didn't clue into a loose connection? Very disappointing and not recommended.
Vancouver fireplace on 7th ave sold us a junky yodle fireplace. Bad fan, light, main elec board. They don't stand behind their products
Samantha was great to review possible options to fit in two locations when we upgrade with replacement gas fireplaces. Jack and John were pleasant, professional and responsive to perform installations and framing modifications with the new units. Both units look great are way more efficient and the process was made easy over the required multiple visits.
We have dealt with Vancouver Gas Fireplaces for all of our heating needs for many years .The staff is knowledgeable , friendly and very accommodating. We own 2 valor Gas Fireplaces and couldn’t be happier with them. I highly recommend VGF without hesitation for all of your fireplace , BBQ and service needs.
Had the pleasure of dealing with Sasha. He was quick to reply, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Once the part arrived, they scheduled my install and got it completed, I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a upgrade or repair.
