Found some great stuff here over the years. Anything from puzzles, model kits, suits, blazers, ties, and electronics can all be found for a pretty decent price. Although I wouldn't recommend this store to everyone, definitely give it a visit once in a while to see what you can find.
What happened to you? You used to be cool! Second hand tank tops are $10? That's more then they are at the mall. The prices of clothes have doubled in the last couple of years. The change rooms have been removed. It's self check out only??!! So we have to pay double AND suffer the problematic self check outs. Never again. When I have a full cart and small kids with me, I just want to pay for my stuff and go! I don't want to train as an employee while my toddler is crying. I do not recommend this location.
Good selection of different things! I bought a lot, but when I came home I realized some clothes was stained and ripped and outside lighting didn’t work. I came back next day and they were able to exchange them for me. Surprisingly, I was able to find same items but clean and in excellent working condition!
Richmond Hill's Value Village is one of the cleanest, most well stuffed stores of this chain in the GTA. Its collection of books was very impressive. Last time I got two excellent books on Physics and Computer Science for about $10. I, however, found the prices of stationery items a bit on the higher side. Though I don't buy clothes from these stores, but I think I found some new garments there as well in addition to a fairly large selection of used clothes.
Overall a good place worth visiting, they have a huge selection of vinyl records which I was amazed by. Lots of clothing although it's very messy and disorganized. The electronics section is big but most of the items are either not working or fully outdated. The staff is very nice and helpful tho
One of my local and regular thrift shops. Prices have definitely increased significantly over the past year-and-a-half, which makes me second-guess a lot of my purchases which may be a good thing!. Staff can be a little rough with the merchandise at times I hear glass breaking at least 2 times each visit, and you really have to sift through the clothing. However, I do LOVE thrifting, and am usually able to find some gems throughout all of the sections! In fact, I've decorated most of my apartment with finds from here! I will continue to frequent this location as it is nearby, as well as take my friends and family who enjoy thrifting to this location. I just hope that prices don't continue to increase!!
This is the only Value Village in a Richmond Hill. There are plenty of parking spots near it. The store is clean. You can find inside many good things. Some items can be with original store tags or never used by previous owners.
I've been going for 10's of years, staff is great. Most likely buy big items on Tuesdays as prices are geeting too high for average/ damaged clothing.
My girlfriend always drags me out here while she looks for nick nacks. She really doesn't need to keep buying random stuff but it makes her happy and the prices here are real cheap.
I am always happy wondering around second hand stores since you will always find unique pieces. This location has reasonable pricing, and large selections of clothing. More people are donating to thrift stores since Covid19 began which is great! That also means more people are aware of thrift stores and thus, there's more competition between customers There's a small voice inside of me screaming out, 'Noooooooooooo!!' hahaha.
