My daughter-in-law asked a clerk to help her find a nuisance-fruit blocker, and the clerk walked her over to a display. My daughter-in-law bought 3 containers for about $71 and left the store. A few minutes after arriving at my house, she realized she had been given an insecticide, not the product she asked for. We went back to Valley Nursery together, and they refused to refund the money, even though it was the clerk who recommended the product, not my daughter-in-law walking around trying to find it. They said federal law prohibits restocking insecticides--if WE had picked out the product, we would have taken responsibility. It was their error, and they should have absorbed the loss. We live close to Valley Nursery, and I've spent a lot of money there over the years. Never again. We then drove to J&J Nursery in Layton and immediately upon walking in, we were greeted by a bubbly clerk who took us straight to the product we needed. The place was jam-packed with customers, but the management has an efficient system to get the lines checked out quickly. That will be where I take my business from now on. I will never spend another cent at Valley Nursery.

Terrible experience On Sunday memorial day I went to Valley nursery and purchased 3 trees, while checking out I was helped by a very rude young lady with dreadlocks that acted like helping me was the last thing she wanted to do. They delivered my trees two days later. The two fruit trees I purchased looked fine but the other tree the most expensive of the three trees was missing two thirds of its leaves and appeared to be burned and the trunk was discolored. I called to inquire about the tree and ask if it would be okay. I was told by a "tree expert" that the tree looked the same as when I purchased it and that I should have watered it sooner. They obviously didn't water the the tree and blamed it on me. I'll never do business with Valley nursery again very disappointed.

I went in November to buy trees and shrubs because one of there employee told me it was best to plant them in the fall. I was hesitant on buying them in the fall. He was very pushy and said I shouldn't worry they warranty everything you buy from them for a year. Come the next spring most of the stuff I planted was dead 119.00 dollars gone. So I called them to find out what I need to bring in for the warranty and they told me they don't warranty anything over the winter. If I would have known that I would not have not bought them in the fall. I would have waited until spring to plant. I won't be back. Lowes has a better warranty than they do..

I've never seen tractor operators in a bulk yard be so careful! My truck isn't the newest thing, but they took the time to load my rock without scratching it. Thank you Valley Nursery!!

Best trees and shrubs in town, I love this place. I only wish they had a coffee bar so I could spend even more time walking their massive selection.
