Zero stars if I could. Got scammed by this place. They straight up lied to me. I remember before the Reno it was a nice place to go. Buy something, sit down, and enjoy board games. Recently went again, they told me it was going to be $20 per person, and any food/drinks were extra, not included. Was a total rip off, but we went for it anyways. Played an old worn out board game for about an hour. Went to pay, and the bill magically turned to 25$ per person and there was a mandatory 15% gratuity!! the only service we got was the front desk saying"go sit over there"... Never ever come here. Throw an egg at their door for me.
Nice place where you can get your own room so that you're not being loud in the general area. They have nice games and also some games hidden in the back room where you can ask them to teach you how to play a game. The staff is really nice and took the time to teach us how to play a game. Playing there is "technically" free because you can use the entrance fee as part of the food you order. Only thing we didn't like was how expensive the food was. They have small portions and it wasn't filling for the price. Tastes good but it isn't enough.
Absolutely appalled by their $25 minimum spend per person. The food options are drinks and small snacks at most not dinner/lunch. The drinks cost $13.99 minimum, and even then, it’s only halfway to their minimum spend. We also noticed that many other tables seating 6-8 people were well into their boardgame but had only 2 drinks on the table. I felt a bit fishy that this $25/person spend was selective and not applying to all customers. Definitely do not recommend.
I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. It was fun playing board games with friends as a group, but other than that, everything else was downhill from there. 1. Not sure why a 15% tip is automatically added at checkout when no service was being provided. It should be optionally especially with a place that doesn’t really do servicing. 2. There is a $25 minimum charge, which is fine. BUT, drinks took OVER 45 minutes to come. How do you expect us to order a minimum of $25 when a drink which takes less than a minute to make ended up coming 45 minutes later? 3. It’s very strange to me why they have to tape papers covering all their windows, not sure if they are opening under some certain restrictions? I wouldn’t know Overall, not a place where money is well spent.
If you don't want to be a fool, DO NOT come! $25 minimum charge plus $10 private room fee for every person and 15% service fee is mandatory?! That's not the worsttheir drinks taste like joke.
Love to play boardgames there. They havw a very good food menu and great people who work thereFood: 5/5
They enforce a $25 of minimum purchase per person because why not. But not to worry, you can easily rack up the bill thanks to their overpriced menu items e.g. 12.99 for a subpar bubble tea. And the stark & alienated aesthetic of the attempted "modern" interior decor will void you of happiness. Happy gaming.
A very hidden place. Games are saran wrapped and tidy in its shelves. Its a fairly large space that gets packed later at night. Some games definitely feel very very played and if you're lucky there are sleeves for some of the cards. There are also electronic majong tables here. Food is mediocre...don't expect too much. Shaved ice...felt more gooey syrupy than clean.
It has a large variety if board games you can choose from and play. Food was way better than I expected, and the prices are good too.
avoid this place after their renovation!! $25 min. charge PER person is an absolute scam for a board game cafe. you’re pretty much forced to buy 2 $13.99 drinks that range from okay to straight undrinkable. not to mention they put a fixed tip price when they charge you even though we would wait 20mins for a drink to come? i would give 0 stars if i could, there was nothing pleasant about this place
