Gong Cha Tea

This is probably one of the smallest Gong Cha branches in the GTA which can only accommodate one party at a time, but is conveniently located. I like their tea base and menu choice and the price is comparable to other bubble tea brands.

Consistently good tea and regardless of location ! First time at this unionville location and def will not be the last! Ordered the 3j Earl grey milk tea and really loved the taste! Loved all the add ins in the drink and think I’ve found my new go to at gong cha. The Earl grey flavour wasn’t very strong, which is the only drawback, but really loved the toppings combination in the drink! Service was super quick and very accurate in making the drinks too! Consistent with its other locations, Gong Cha is a nice addition to the area. The service is fast and friendly. Location is attached to Nam 2 next door, and there is an awkward 2 steps at the entrance, not very accessible for people with disabilities. Perhaps management can look into StopGap for a ramp.

My barista Tiffany welcomed me with a smile and was eager to help me. She made my drinks fast and efficiently and got me out the door quickly which I appreciated. I ordered the honey lemon green tea and it tasted beautiful which kind of sounds like a weird way to describe a drink but it. was. beautiful. My friend also got a bubble waffle and I tried some and I can tell you that it was pretty good as well. Overall, this is my favorite gong cha and I look forward to coming again and again for more great drinks.

Called to place orders for 4 drinks but was told that they don't take orders over the phone for pickup. That's a strange business model considering that there was a sign in the store near the side, "Pick-up orders." Speaking of signs, there's multiple menus signs inside plastic stands that say, "do not touch." There's also a sign over the door warning about the steps into the store but with the slew of signs on the exterior and on the door, it's very possible to miss the warning because of all the visual bombardments. Yes, becareful of the 2 strange steps that make this shop wheelchair and stroller unfriendly. Interesting drink flavours that seem appealing but the tea lacked fragrance it tea flavour.

This feedback was also shared with Gongcha Headquarters. Before writing this message, we had purchased 3 drinks 2 #9 and 1 #10. There was a girl called Jane that served us on Sunday, February 6th, 2022 at 03:12pm. We arrived home at 5pm and tried the first drink #9. The drink was horribly made and we dialed back to provide her with the feedback. The only thing that she mentioned was that she cannot provide us with new drinks unless we drive back to the shop the same day. I was the person who purchased the drinks and did not take any receipts. The employee even used this fact to give us further rejection. This was not the first time in the past months, bad quality of drinks happened at least 4-5 times in the last 2 months. We are extremely furious at how this situation was handled today. Please send us a message and we would like to discuss further on this issue. You can see that we have a long history ordering with Gongcha and would like to speak with someone of authority in this company.

A new small location in Markham area. Visited during their first day of opening - BOGO with Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3Js. Friendly staffs.

Solid bubble tea option in the neighborhood with a good variety of toppings and flavours. They also have bubble waffles original, matcha, etc. in addition to bubble tea, which is a nice plus. I think they have the same owners as the restaurant next door, as the "back / kitchen" area is connected. Either way, folks here are fairly friendly, quick, and efficient, would return in the future even after the grand opening BOGO offer.
