I popped in here at about 5:00 for a quick Saturday overstay.  Got the last available walkin site.   So make reservations.  Did a quick lap and the place is really nice. Rangers are very helpful!! I'm a hammock camper and they understood the challenges and were happy to help me out.  No worries. Walk-ins have bear boxes, tent pads, fire rings. Camp sells firewood. There's a general store/canoe livery about 1/2 mile down the road for last minute items.  Will def come back!!

This is one of the cleanest campgrounds that I've ever been to! The rangers and volunteers were so nice! The cleanliness helped with keeping the bears and other critters away. You no longer need tokens to shower. The trails to the beach were amazing! I would recommend the walk-in campsites to give you a bit of that back country feel without having to haul your gear too far.

This campground is AMAZING! You do NOT have to pay for a shower at the tent loop like some of the other reviews stated. The showers and bathrooms are very well taken care of just like the rest of the campground/park. I did the walk-in tent site and it was so pretty and peaceful. The beach is a short hike away and there is plenty to do and see in the area!
