My overall experience at this university has been disappointing. While the institution frequently promotes diversity and inclusion, in reality, it often fails to support students facing real-life challenges. As a single mother, I sometimes cannot find a babysitter. Unfortunately, the school does not allow children to accompany their parent to class without a supervisor, which forces me to either miss class or ask for an absence from my professor. This policy is not supportive of parents, and it contradicts the values of inclusivity that the university claims to uphold.nnBeyond this, the academic experience is not as effective as it could be. The courses are overloaded with assignments rather than focusing on real-time learning, collaboration, or practical application. This creates unnecessary stress without necessarily improving the learning process. Additionally, grading lacks consistency—different professors apply subjective standards, and in some cases, grades seem to reflect personal attitudes or bias rather than academic merit.nnI had hoped for a learning environment that genuinely supports students and prepares them for professional success. Instead, I have found barriers, inconsistency, and policies that feel out of touch with the realities of diverse learners. If the university wants to live up to its values, it must improve both academic delivery and support systems for all students, especially those balancing education with parenting responsibilities.
To all new students: this is the last school you want to join.nThey will sell you a dream great value, high-quality education, and constant support but it’s all a lie. I originally enrolled for a bachelor's degree but eventually settled for a 2-year diploma, and here’s why:nnThe finance department is completely disorganized they lie and constantly give conflicting information. Anytime you need help from any department, they just push you around from one office to another without ever resolving your issue. It’s a waste of time and energy.nnWhen it comes to job searching, mentioning UCW on your résumé hurts more than it helps. Even some professors have openly said the school's reputation is poor. I had an issue with my visa and asked for help they refused. Later in a session, someone even told me I wouldn’t make it. But I did without their help. I hired an independent consultant who supported me through the entire process.nnAlso, don’t be fooled by the nice campus they show you during your first semester. After that, most students are moved to the old campus, where the elevators constantly break down and the facilities are outdated.nnAlso they take so long to reply and you will have to send so many emails and proof because they don’t want to do their job.nI’m so irritated, frustrated and upset.nnEverything they promise sounds great—until you experience the reality. Don’t believe everything too quickly. Be cautious, ask questions, and choose your professors carefully.
Amazing university which give you MBA without any entry level exam. Good opportunity platform for serious students.
The lowest standard university in the world and the worst experience ever. There is ZERO support for students, the instructors are confusing, and the administration is completely disorganized. If you value your time and money, please DO NOT waste them here. I strongly advise anyone considering this school to look elsewhere. UCW's lack of professionalism and standards is beyond disappointing. Please ignore the one-star rating above, as I did not have any choice. All the positive comments are from their staff. I will never recommend this school to anyone.
Terrible experience dealing with UCW’s refund department — I’m writing this on behalf of my cousin.nnMy cousin was accepted to UCW but ultimately could not attend. My father paid her tuition on her behalf, and when she requested a refund, the school initially said it had to go back to her personal account. Since she doesn’t have a Canadian bank account and my father was the one who paid the tuition, we were told to submit a consent form authorizing him to receive the refund. We followed these instructions and submitted everything as requested — only to be told again and again that to re-submit.nnWe’ve spent many months going in circles with no clear answers and constantly shifting requirements. It seems like UCW is just trying to delay or avoid issuing the refund. The communication is poor and contradictory, and the entire process feels deliberately obstructive.nnAs a family who trusted this institution with our hard-earned money, this experience has been extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise other international students and their families to think twice before enrolling or sending payments to this school.
