To all new students: this is the last school you want to join.nThey will sell you a dream great value, high-quality education, and constant support but it’s all a lie. I originally enrolled for a bachelor's degree but eventually settled for a 2-year diploma, and here’s why:nnThe finance department is completely disorganized they lie and constantly give conflicting information. Anytime you need help from any department, they just push you around from one office to another without ever resolving your issue. It’s a waste of time and energy.nnWhen it comes to job searching, mentioning UCW on your résumé hurts more than it helps. Even some professors have openly said the school's reputation is poor. I had an issue with my visa and asked for help they refused. Later in a session, someone even told me I wouldn’t make it. But I did without their help. I hired an independent consultant who supported me through the entire process.nnAlso, don’t be fooled by the nice campus they show you during your first semester. After that, most students are moved to the old campus, where the elevators constantly break down and the facilities are outdated.nnAlso they take so long to reply and you will have to send so many emails and proof because they don’t want to do their job.nI’m so irritated, frustrated and upset.nnEverything they promise sounds great—until you experience the reality. Don’t believe everything too quickly. Be cautious, ask questions, and choose your professors carefully.
I completed my studies at University Canada West in July 2022 and attended my convocation in October. I worked extremely hard throughout my program and was proud to have earned a distinction. Unfortunately, the university failed to acknowledge this achievement during the ceremony.nnIt was a deeply disappointing moment—my family and friends were there to celebrate, and I was looking forward to the recognition I had worked so hard for. Instead, what should have been one of the proudest days of my life turned into an embarrassing and frustrating experience.nnI expected better from an institution that promotes academic excellence. Despite my efforts, I never received a proper explanation or apology. This oversight left a lasting impact, and I sincerely hope no other student goes through the same experience.
The lowest standard university in the world and the worst experience ever. There is ZERO support for students, the instructors are confusing, and the administration is completely disorganized. If you value your time and money, please DO NOT waste them here. I strongly advise anyone considering this school to look elsewhere. UCW's lack of professionalism and standards is beyond disappointing. Please ignore the one-star rating above, as I did not have any choice. All the positive comments are from their staff. I will never recommend this school to anyone.
Terrible experience dealing with UCW’s refund department — I’m writing this on behalf of my cousin.nnMy cousin was accepted to UCW but ultimately could not attend. My father paid her tuition on her behalf, and when she requested a refund, the school initially said it had to go back to her personal account. Since she doesn’t have a Canadian bank account and my father was the one who paid the tuition, we were told to submit a consent form authorizing him to receive the refund. We followed these instructions and submitted everything as requested — only to be told again and again that to re-submit.nnWe’ve spent many months going in circles with no clear answers and constantly shifting requirements. It seems like UCW is just trying to delay or avoid issuing the refund. The communication is poor and contradictory, and the entire process feels deliberately obstructive.nnAs a family who trusted this institution with our hard-earned money, this experience has been extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise other international students and their families to think twice before enrolling or sending payments to this school.
This is the worst university. Do not study here. It will be your biggest mistake of your life. This is money oriented university. If you are applying from India and you choose to select this university just because of visa chances do not select it. They fail you just because to earn money. Please show some unity and do not get admission to this university who exploit students by passing them and then failing them. They go with the plan. If you are a final year student they gonna fail you so just they can get your one more semester fee. Hate it. For note it doesn’t happened to me but there were so many students from same batch who experienced that. Avoid it show them their face with our unity
