Go global are very cooperative and helpful to international students at UBC..They have their office in life building. Life building has a cafe of quality food.
Quite spacious with a nice cafe and a small shop. Can get a bit crowded during lunch hours
Has a great new colourful look to it from the inside. There are a few places to get food or a quick drink on the go, however it get really busy between classes so think before you get in a line. The seating area is big and open, so if you cant focus with noise around you then better bring noise cancelling headphones. The seating isnt too comfortable health wise and there are few charging ports available they need more. Great place to meet up with friends and study for a bit.
The Life Building has a great space to chill or socialize on the first floor and a nice open roof that's great on a beautiful day... granted that either of the two things mentioned are clean, which sometimes is not the case.nnThe seats and cushions on the first floor are often dirty with coffee stains, crumbs and dirt, owing to the lack of care from students. Certain parts of the open roof are also dreadful to look at.nnThe gender neutral washrooms are great, and offer quite a bit of privacy, although because they are individual *rooms* and not stalls, the smell of the previous user could linger and be very strong.
Tons of seating if you come at the right time. Overall any food that you get at the Nest looks 5x better than it tastes. But if you need to grab something quick before class, it'll do.
