I have fond memories of attending tertiary level Literarure classes in this building. Although, I was a Human Kinetics major, I still valued studying literature, as my career path was writing.nThe building is somewhat dingy and dilapidated. However, the caliber of its English and Literature professors is unparallel.nI was somewhat disappointed that I received only graded a B- on my English essay because I failed to expound on the themes she delineated in class. However, as I've grown older, I understand that everyone has their own biases when grading literature, which are difficult to abandon. As a self-professed over-achiever with respect to writing, I was expecting at least an A-, but I had to accept the B- grade instead.nnFor future reference, arguing about your grades is futile, if you want to maintain an above-average GPA at UBC.
Really really quiet place to get work done if you do not want to see a bunch of people and want to focus. The places you can work is the stools with a desk and the benches on the side of the hallways. Only time you will see people walking by is between the time when classes end/start, but other than that it is really quiet. Bathrooms are clean and big as well.
Good sized classrooms but not a lot of areas to study :
Was there for the inter high school debate last weekend. Classrooms & auditorium were suitable for the event.
Clean and a good place to learn.
