Story

Universal Appliances has been helping create kitchens since founder Maurice Ladouceur opened the store on Rideau Street in 1953. An electrical contractor with a keen knowledge of business, Mr. Ladouceur began selling kitchen and laundry appliances to the Ottawa community at a time when competition was scarce. Providing complete service, including contracting delivery and installation, Universal Appliances became a family-owned business with a reputation for customer satisfaction.

Wouldn’t recommend 2 washers in 9 months first one was problem after problem so swapped it for another had to pay an extra 30 told them to come and take it back and give us money back didn’t get all money back even tho when we first phoned up they said we would get it all back absolute tossers and very rude wouldn’t buy a thing of them again
Absolutely disgusting service we bought a larder fridge last year and I broke twice asked them to come look at it as we run a foodbank and got the most vile young man with a foul mouth please don't buy from them
Early visit but positively enjoyed viewing the inner shops appliances 1 staff on board the help was respected
Got good selection in good prices if on a budget deliveries good also easy enough to get to park on street I'm really happy with my appliances they help you whatever you need

Would NOT reccomend what so ever!! fitted a washer for my 90yr old, partially blind Father in law... The day after fitting, its leaked all over kitchen floor and flooded. all the wooden flooring that was down, has had to be pulled up now as it's no longer any good. After paying the company £30 for fitting, we contacted the owner just for some advice, who rudly said "Not his problem, as it was our fault that we didn't tighten up fittings" after we paid them to fit it?!?! little bit of advice for future custom DO NOT USE THEM as they are unreliable!

Excellent service. You get a year guarantee with your purchase which is awesome plus free delivery and collection of the faulty appliance. Great value for money on every appliance they have. I got a super washing machine which works perfectly as if it was new. Thank you.
Went in for a fridge/freezer. Got one that looks brand new at a great price. Great customer service from the guy in there and delivered free of charge the next morning. Also came with a 12 month guarantee. Can't fault the prices or the service from these guys.
