We have been in sewing machine business for 25 years, and for last 3 years in Ottawa known as Ottawa Sewing Centre.

Came to take a look at getting my first sewing machine as a newbie beginner. They were really nice, very helpful, but most importantly, they listened to my wants and needs. They took the time to really figure out what I would be using it for, what features I would possibly need, and how to make sure I enjoy my sewing journey. They absolutely succeeded. Within ten minutes of trying out the different settings and stitches, I was very glad to have taken their advice and spent the right money on the right machine for me. I was looking for a sewing machine after I had returned one because of tension issues which could not be fixed. I came across the Sewing Machine centre where Yasmin helped me to find the right machine for my needs and taught me to use it in full, with all features the machine offers. It is great to find place which not only sells the machine but provides all the assistance you need, from helping you to find the right one, to how to use it and fix it if you ever need.

Took my wife in to buy her something better then box store junk.Well what a pleasure the way she helps you and dosnt make you feel foolish and is so helpful to us beginners.If all businesses ran under this model more people would shop local . Already looking at second machine and I'd shop no were else . This family run business if a shinning example of how you should run a business.
I had a wonderful experience at the Ottawa Sewing Centre. Yasmin took the time to show me the features of the sewing machine that I was interested in. She gave me tips that weren't included in the manual and was very patient with all of my questions. Yasmin certainly knows her stuff. The price of the machine was excellent. I had researched online and theirs was by far the best. With the help of the Ottawa Sewing Centre I now have a machine that I love. Thank you.
Great service on my 40 yr old Singer machine….and they are the nicest and most helpful couple. Next time it will be a new machine….there’s many to choose from with all the bells and whistles.
