I would give this a 2 star rating if not for the staff at the buffet who are friendly and attentive. Our breakfasts there were well priced and the food was delicious! Honestly was a better experience than when we had gone to a restaurant that had the same quality of food but priced higher. We had arranged to have a cot in our room during our visit and this was arranged days prior to arriving at the hotel and then was mentioned again by the staff when we checked in. The cot was not brought into our room even though it was mentioned by the staff at the front desk that it would be brought up into our room. When we returned by 8PM the cot was not there and so we had to call to have it brought in this took about 10 minutes. The foaming hand soap pump provided in our room was quite low when we arrived and was run out by our second night. There was no extra hand soap so we used the soap bar provided. Across the street is a gentleman's club and the outside noise from there has disrupted our sleep several times we were on the ninth floor. The park nearby looked nice, but we did not feel comfortable walking through. Our stay was so we can stay downtown for an event that was held at the Convention centre. The 15 minute walk is manageable. We could not help but notice there's a lot of drug use and homelessness in this area as we had observed unsafe and unpredictable behaviours. For future events where we'd be at the convention centre we would not want to stay at this location again, regardless of its proximity to the centre.
Very comfortable sleep, gorgeous city view, amazing rooms that were clean and furniture was in excellent condition. Staff were very friendly and check in was quick and easy. I have stayed multiple times including times were there were big local events and I didn't have to wait for check in, but maybe it was because I gave a lot of time prior to the event. Parking was very convenient and I have a full size truck. The lost and found service was great too : My ONLY complaint was that the restaurant was not open past 10 am.
Great stay. Requested a high floor with view a time of booking and they accommodated us with our request. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff members are friendly. Location is close enough to Roger's, that you can easily walk to any event thereRooms: 5/5
The staff was friendly to start with and the manager was very prompt on getting back to us with inquiries and special needs we had. The rooms were good, the location is good if you need a place close to downtown. The only thing I was expecting was the parkade to be enclosed but it's open once you get to the top and there is wall cut out windows on each level. It also isn't locked at night. But aside from that we were happy with our stay and would stay here again.
I will give 2 stars for the room. It was nice and it was clean. We booked to go to the Raptors game on the weekend, arrival was insane. Like others have said there was no parking. We did not pre-pay for a spot, but others did. One couple was asking for a manager and apparently there was no one available. The first night we had called down and got two extra water and we got it. The next day our room did not get cleaned even though at check in we were asked if we wanted it to be. So we called down, as the waters were not replaced in the room. This time we were told no and we could purchase water. My sister was staying in a different room, she also called down for water AND she received water. Why is this so inconsistent? We did get food delivered, it did not come with utensils. When we asked the front desk, we were told they do not provide that. I did text a phone number that I was receiving messages from confirming our stay. Did not hear a reply back, but an hour or so later when everyone was sleeping, housekeeping banged on the door and delivered water and utensils. Which were no longer needed as we went out to purchase them. This experience was frustrating to say the lease. Never had a problem getting water or utensils at a hotel before.
Always go there when I go to Edmonton for its location. It used to be super clean, but this time the room was bit dirty as I could tell from my bare foot. Their service was great from front desk, janitors, and room service. Their beddings are comfortable, but the bathroom needs some update.Rooms: 2/5
The staff here is amazing. When the chef, housekeepers and servers have been working here for over 30 years, it tells you a lot about how well this hotel is run. I would go no where else when staying in Edmonton. Thank you to the young woman working at the front counter, for running outside in the cold, to give her parking space to my family. I wish I knew your name. Thank you to Krish, you are an amazing manager, even personally delivering a kettle and microwave to our room for us. The service you provide here goes above and beyond.
Great location with clean lobby and rooms. Exceptional customer service all around. Staff member Ionel was one of the most courteous and polite young gentlemen my wife and I have encountered while staying at a motel. Will recommend hotel and will be coming back!Rooms: 5/5
Used to stay here a lot, years ago for work. Nicely renovated since. The bedding was nice. Good mattress, nice pillows. Still enjoying the rosemary soap. Room was clean. Staff were nice. Large flat screen tv. Checked in at 3pm on a hockey game night and was chaotic. Loading zone was full, while the large crowd checked in. Did not keep track of parkade stalls that were occupied, so several cars were driving in the small parkade, looking for spots that were already full. Offer complimentary flavoured water in lobby and hot drinks at check in. Have an added on bidet and flip flops in room. But think I'd trade that for the use of a robe like they used to. Nice stay. Close to Roger's place. Enjoyed it as always.
Warm and inviting atmosphere, very clean, comfortable beds, and eco friendly stay. The best part was the heated toilet seat and bidet! Location was fabulously close to downtown. Front staff went above and beyond!
