Umami Japanese restaurant

Honestly one of the best sushi places I've gone to and they even have cute little characters drawn in sauce on your plate it's so adorable. The prices are very affordable I got so much for $80. I took most of it home, but the waitress I had was very attentive and kind. Definitely would recommend this place if you're a sushi lover and want somewhere affordable and delicious to eat. Parking: Parking is right out front.

Went for the first time today and the food was delicious. They have tons of different sushi roll options including cooked ones for people who don’t like raw. The kids got the fried rice with duck and it was fantastic. Every looked and tasted very fresh. We highly recommend eating here. Also, get a roll with the mango sauce! You won’t regret it!

Absolutely incredible! Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is top notch, not to mention well priced for what it is. If you're a sushi fan, do yourself a favor and come here for your next meal. We'll certainly be coming back many more times!

I reserve my 5 star reviews for the best of the best, and Umami Sushi fully deserves it. The sushi platter for two is an amazing variety of sushi and sashimi. Mouthwatering fresh, with a little bit of everything. Even the presentation inside our huge takeout container was done with great care. I've had the fortune of eating sushi in Japan, and for a quiet little place in Vernon, CT, this is the next best thing.

This restaurant always has great food. We have eaten here many times, most of the time sushi, but have tried the meals as well and they were both fantastic! If you get the chance to try this place out, do it! You will not be disappointed! Honestly, some of the best sushi I’ve ever had!!

Staff is great, food is great, prices are absolutely fair for what you get-- the food is very fresh, amazingly flavorful and presented beautifully. Love the drawings! Definitely get the cheesecake-- if you have room left!

Wow! What an awesome place! Went there Saturday 9-17-22for the first time and it was great! The sushi was fresh and high quality! And they do an amazing art on the plate with different sauces for the design. The tamago was so tasty! Not sure just what they put in the egg but it was so good! Highly recommended this place!

I ordered takeout from here again on a Friday night and once again wasn't disappointed. The sushi is extremely fresh and made beautifully. It's all very reasonable in price, especially considering how high quality it is. They are still only doing takeout but it is well worth it.

Ordered around 7:45pm and didn’t receive it till 10:15pm. Got told that online orders take last priority when they finally brought us our food. Sushi was mushy and inedible. Made everyone sick for days .
