This was my first visit to Twenty Eight Urban Kitchen, and I was very pleased with my overall experience. The food I ordered was good, the pricing was fair, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I ordered the Popeye's Choice Omelet, which came with hashbrowns and your choice of bread for toast. My family and I had a wonderful experience, and we hope to come back soon:
A quaint restaurant that punches above its weight. If I could give this dish 6 stars I would. Thick cut ham, a properly poached egg and amazing hollandaise, the best I have had in the Edmonton area.Food: 5/5
Best breakfast hash browns - perfect crispness and spicing! Also love the mayo they used on the breakfast sandwich, not sure if it’s homemade or they just add different spices to elevate but I was licking my fingers! Husband got banana bread French toast with fresh fruit and did not disappoint!Food: 5/5
This was a fantastic find in Stoney Plain. We were there on business and stopped in for lunch. The place was packed. While we are, many people showed up and waited in line for a place to sit down. I ordered the Cheezy Yeezy burger with dirty fries, and my wife ordered the fish tacos. They were both appropriately portioned and delicious. The burger was a double, which wasn't mentioned in the menu. The fish in the tacos was huge - kind of what you'd get in an order of fish and chips. The server didn't come to refresh our waters, unfortunately - I think they were very busy. With that said, they were very nice and accommodating. The bathroom was very clean, but I personally think they cheapened out on the toilet paper. : I'd definitely come back.
The most important part of this review is: the dirty fries are TO DIE for. You need them in your face. So packed with amazing flavor, and perfect crispiness! They offered great service. It was a pleasantly quiet visit, nicely lit and simple yet eloquently decorated. Staff were very friendly, but not too friendly you know, the type that hangs out just a little too long. And fast! We weren't done our appetizer and our meal was out. The food was amazing. While the dirty fries are one of my new favorite things ever, the mac and cheese I had was a delight, and my husband loved his burger. The bun looks squished in the photo because it is: he smashed it before I could get a photo Prices are very reasonable and the menu is a nice variety, and different enough from most burger places to call this a unique dining experience. Definitely impressed us. Thank you! Looking forward to going back!
Always delicious food! Got the vermicelli bowl and it was perfection. Never disappointed and I really want to try breakfast soon. I had the Mac and cheese before which was spectacular and my friend had the dirty fries which are fabulous as well! Always friendly service and awesome food for a reasonable price. Highly recommend all the time!
Had a great lunch with amazing homemade soup. Really good portion size and great prices. Had the triple burger with dirty fries for main they almost lost a star for using premade frozen burger patties but they were decent enough with how good everything eles was to get 5 stars can't wait to go back and try other items here. Servers went out of there way to make sure drinks were full
Great diner feel with very reasonably priced food. Quick service and large place so easy to get in. Chill atmosphere and it’s local, way better than going to a chain place. Food was good! My only complaint was that the hollandaise for the eggs Benny was a little blah. Could have use much more flavour. Hash browns were amazing and my husband loved his classic breakfast.
A gem to the west of Edmonton. Tuesday morning and it's busy as heck. That's a good sign right off the bat. Service was prompt and friendly with lots of smiles. Food was very good. Fresh, with homemade bread, fruit instead of hash browns for my wife. She loved her omelette, and my eggs benny were very good - eggs cooked perfect. All in all well worth the trip out to Stoney Plain......
I love this place, it's easily one of my favorite breakfast places. The food is amazing, and they have some awesome non-traditional options. Their coffee is pretty decent, the steak I had was cooked perfectly and the pancakes are pretty big. The staff are also great.Food: 5/5
