Not too many photos to go along with this because it's just a you must camp here type of place. The sites are very clean. You get mountain views. Your permit also gets you unlimited wood. Washrooms, showers and bear lockers are available also clean often enough. One of my favourite campgrounds to go to annually. All guests here have usually been very respectful of noise and fire ban rule from 11pm-7am.
As Aussies getting their first taste of camping in Canada- the campsites were impressive! Ample shade, large clearing for the tents. Picnic table with bench seats, fire pit... Feels like glamping to me. Rim walk with incredible views just across the road. Mountain bike trails. Amenities were clean. Ranger helpful. It was a very memorable stay. Restrooms: Simple but clean and offered a warm shower.
First time users of this campground with a trailer. Nice to have a fully serviced lot. Washrooms were clean when needed. Great mountain scenery all around us. Sites are pull off sites along interior roads in the campground so it is pretty open to your neighbours. New experience for us.
if you get cold easily and will be staying in a tent, bring something to warm you up as you sleep or you’ll have to spend the night in your car. the view is great! there is a trail behind our campsite. washrooms are clean, wood is free and nothing to worry about the noise. not even a radio on site, just the sound of nature. the showers in the washroom doesn’t have doors just curtains so if you’re going and isnt comfy with this setup, ask someone to guard you while you shower and vice versa.
I stayed in site G in May for four nights. After staying at the whislers campground in Jasper, the washroom facilities here were a bit disappointing. There were only 2 showers and some flimsy curtains to cover the stall with. They were clean enough but outdated. The sites were spacey and in May, only around 10 of the 70 or so sites were occupied so it was pretty quiet and peaceful. You can't see much from the site but trees, however a short drive away are some beautiful mountains. Free firewood is always plus! Also could look forward to a daily visit from some elk.
Lots of wild life and great views from most campsites we stayed in two sections, A and D and found that A was a little nicer. The bathrooms are pretty good, hot showers but limited stalls and not always very clean. There is a free shuttle TO town centre you just have to pay for way back. We arrived Thursday but when coming in on Friday around 4PM from a day out, saw how big the queue to check in was - expect to wait but don’t idle your engines to respect the environment around : Please also respect the quiet hours 11 PM to 7AM- we had neighbours chopping wood and making a fire at 6 AM. Wood was free but very wet, so best advised to bring a hatchet.
This is a campground in Banff that is part of the National Park system. You can make a reservation or try for first come first serve. The sites are small, right next to your neighbors with no foliage for privacy. It's huge with lots of sites plenty of bathrooms and hot showers. Close to Banff and local hiking/biking trails. It's ok but crowded.
Loved the view of the mountain from our site. Was a pleasant stay in b31 and even got a little visit from some wildlife.
Great campground. Downtown bus picks up in the middle of the campground. Good showers and toilet block.
Absolutely amazing.....Must do we showed up late with no reservation and they still found a camp site for us it was awesome had a fire pit and picnic table and all amenities are super close 1 minute walk with a 4 year old.
