I AM STILL DREAMING OF THIS STEAK! This is such an amazing little establishment that’s relaxed yet classy at the same time. We had a server who I think is Daniel, but if I got the name wrong, I’m sorry! He had worked in the kitchen for some times before serving and he knew the food and drinks like the back of his hand. He made the best recommendations and gave us the best service. He recommended the prime rib cooked rare and let me tell you.. it was the best steak I think I’ve ever had. We also got the calamari and steamed clams - the calamari is so tender, unlike the normal chewy pieces I usually get at other restaurants. Anyways, I could go on.. this place has my heart, I’ll just leave it at that.
We love it here! One of us always gets the stuffed cod because it's incredible!! And the other picks something else on the menu, and we share! The service is always wonderful and accommodating. Everything we've had here has been full of flavor and presented beautifully! We always bring friends or family from out of town here because we have never been disappointed and it's such a gem in Central Oregon, nothing else like it! Their cocktail menu is unique and great too!
Really cool place for steak dinner. The atmosphere is really inviting and cozy. My date ordered a toasted pecan cocktail, loved it!! Delicious steak plus my mac and cheese side dish was incredible. Likely will return!Food: 5/5
We had a wonderful experience having a birthday dinner here. The steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare as requested. Drinks were poured very generously and are priced even better. Always make it a point to support local restaurants, especially during these times. The staff here are very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place.
I've only visited this establishment 3 times, and its right up my alley. No frills steak house, down to earth, and extremely tasty food. Well staffed, and friendly atmosphere. Food is pricey but its high quality steaks, and I get it wrapped in bacon which is my dream come true.
Came here for a family birthday a little bit ago and the food was awful. Terrible appetizers no presentation. Two of us asked for a medium rare steak and it came out well done with no flavor and it was a cheap cut of meat. For the prices you pay here you're getting completely ripped off. I could have made a better steak at home and I'm pretty sure Outback is better than this place.
Anniversary dinner at the Tumalo Feed Company last night. We had heard great things about it. The good part was we arrived at 5:30pm and were seated right away. The restaurant Western decor is interesting with history and artifacts being built in 1967. We were waited on in a timely manner. Our drinks lemon drop martinis arrived and were good size and tasty. The bus person was personable and fun. He brought a box for my unfinished dinner and he cleared our plates soon after we finished eating. The mediocre part was the wait person Daniel had limited personality, did not respond when I told him it was our anniversary, told us the special but did not recommend a starter, sides, bread or dessert. Dinner arrived shrimp scampi and ribeye steak and was lacking in taste and appearance plain plates with no garnish, no offering of steak sauce or extras. I put 2 rounds of salt and pepper on my scampi, rice and vegetables to create some flavor. We ate dinner. No one checked to see if dinner was cooked correctly or how it tasted. No one offered water or another drink. When we finished, Daniel said, "is there anything else?" We said "no" and he put a receipt on the table no receipt holder or tray. Our bill was $90 without tip.
Delicious!! My husband had the steak and lobster and I had the salmon. Hubby said was the best steak he's had in years!! The stuffed mushrooms were cooked to perfection as well. Wish I caught our waitresses name, she was very personable and on it!
Our regular steak night out. The steaks are always awesome. The veggies unfortunately are always WAY undercooked, which is a big ole bummer cause I love me some veggies. Staff are always great, drinks come-n-go usually good.Food: 4/5
So it has been a while since I left a review of anything. During the pandemic I felt a gnawing sense that I should focus on the positive side of the service industry and here it was found in abundance. Coming to this place in early January, near freezing temperatures we entered to a lobby heated by a warming wood stove that acted like a cork sealing in the heat of the place. There are no reservations here, it is first come first served. We were greeted with cheer and despite the busy atmosphere, and parking lot, we were seated in a relatively short order. First glance at the menu seemed misleadingly simple. The drinks were incredibly unique and well balanced to start with. We ordered the filet and strip steak with an array of sides. We asked for a true medium, pink throughout and no red or translucency which was what was delivered. Meat had a wonderful flavor and char, though they were not particularly seasoned that was perfect to allow us to mix sides and season as we liked. Regarding the sides, mushrooms were sublime with just the right amount of richness and savoriness. The mashed potatoes were well made though could have benefited from a bit more butter and seasoning. The Mac and cheese was what I would expect from a BBQ place so good but not exceptional. The garlic side was a perfect addition to the filet and potatoes. The creamed spinach was not what I would expect given my experience, a mixture of what I could describe as heavy cream, cream cheese and blanched or slightly boiled spinach and well seasoned, not pulsed in any way but it was still fantastic which was a welcome surprise. All the while excellent service and comfortable amenities. I gave this institution five stars because it was a great experience, reasonable value and was thoroughly enjoyed; however I also must hope that no establishment will rest upon their laurels and not strive to better themselves. Regardless, an excellent showing of what central Oregon can do on a random Friday for a pair of travelers passing through. Cheers!
