Truffles Burger Bar

A group of us from Ottawa headed to Truffles after finishing an Escape Room at the Cornwall Jail. The restaurant was recommended by the jail seeing that we were not from the town. We arrive and noticed that the two servers there were already upset to see us. It was busy but it wasn't wild. We asked to be seated outside if it was possible and after some frustrated deliberation between the two servers we were led outside. The patio was very cute but they could have done something about the cobwebs on the wall. In general the wait time was long for both drinks and food but our group let it slide because our server explained they had been short staffed for the past hour. We get it. It happens. The food and the drinks we ordered were very tasty but it was not matched up with the greatest service. Regardless if you are short staffed or not getting frustrated with customers can really taint their experience at your restaurant even if the food is delicious. One of the appetizers we ordered was not properly cooked so we kindly asked for it to be removed from the bill but our server made a fuss about how it was going to take a few minutes to remove the order from the bill. And when my boyfriend decided to take my bill she got frustrated and scrunched the bills together and yanked the door to go back inside to put the orders just on one bill. Our group was quiet and uncomfortable after that. It was generally a weird experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone headed to Cornwall. The two stars are for the meal and the cute little lights they had going on in the bushes. Sorry.

Pretty good, expensive, but filling. One of the best places to get a gourmet burger. Service is pretty good. Friendly and timely. Good warm experience.

Was awesome 😎 great atmosphere, great food and great staff. Definitely will bring my son back there, kid friendly was a plus 👌

After eating every exotic burger on the menu, I think this may be my favorite burger place hands down. Burgers are always cooked perfectly and they have the BEST fries in all of Cornwall. Why go to a fast food restaurant when you can get a hamburger and fries here for almost the same price. For as long as they're open. they have my business.

One of the best burgers I've ever had. Wish this place was in Ottawa. Onion rings were fantastic as well and our waiter was enthusiastic about food and really into his work. Will definitely go back.
