Best Carribean eats in Markham hands down! Ask for the homemade hot sauce to die for!! Great food, great service... My regular lunch spot in Markham!
Don't like giving negative reviews on our people's businesses because we do need them to keep striving, but it's always a disappointment to see their standards changing so quickly. I entered the store to see the condition of the counter and surrounding area were not sanitized for food to be served. The Cashier's appearance was as if jumped out of bed to serve us. I ordered two jerk chicken dinners and a curry goat dinner. I was sad to see both meals and what were handed to me Pics enclosed. Jerk chicken was not cut, the sauce was cold and still in the gel stage when put on the rice; no other sides included to any of the orders. The embarrassment made me still pay for the meals but discarded them afterward. Not caring for our own business can show very easily.

My husband and I absolutely love this place! We go here for our Caribbean food cravings often. We got Roxy to cater my birthday and our family Christmas. The food was the talk of the night both times. The jerk chicken is fall off the bone and super flavourful. My mother in law said she couldn’t stop thinking about the fried noodles from my birthday, so we absolutely had to order it for Christmas. The catering prices are very reasonable. My brother in law is extremely celiac and could eat the rice and chicken, so those who are gluten-free, this place is for you! He’s on his way to pick up some leftovers :P and Roxy was very patient with me when explaining what was and wasn’t gluten-free, so thank you for that! The doubles are also really good too. Thanks for everything, Roxy!
Everyone beware. Please make sure you check your food before eating it when you order from here. There was MOLD on my food. Answer to your reply: This food item is the mango sauce. I purchased this with poulourie. It was purchased from Tropicana Caribbean Cuisine located at unit 5 5694 Hwy 7 in Markham. This is something your restaurant cooked....because I purchased it from there.. Unless you do not you cook the food you sell. I am very sorry but this review was not a mistake it is an honest review. Hopefully you guys will be more careful with the quility of your food.
The best Caribbean spot around the area! I didn't know what to expect as I've never tried Caribbean food but, after coming here and ordering a Jerk Chicken Roti, it left me craving Caribbean food ever since! The lady who served me was very kind and honestly a great experience!
Ordered two large Jerk Chicken dinners for take out, came out to $25.99. The food was great, I have no complaints, friendly service as well. The issue was that I was sent home without 1/3 of each dinner the coleslaw and called to see if there was an error. I was told they ran out and they were sorry. Unfortunately this means I was charged full price even though they knew I was being sent away without the full order. 3/5
I ordered the Large 3 toppings vegetarian pizza and I must say it was truly amazing. The taste, the fresh ingredients the trust just fantastic. And for $10.99 you definitely cannot go wrong. I even had a pizza from pizza pizza last week and honestly nothing close to the pizza from Tropicana Caribbean Cuisine. The ordering process was fast and simple online via their website. I would highly recommend to try it... Well done!!!!
Truly authentic West Indian food had a goat roti it was very tasty and the meat portion was more than what I expected. The owners are very humble, professional and curtious. I am highly recommending this restaurant to anyone that want to enjoy the flavors of the Caribbean. Next time I will surely try the oxtail or jerk chicken... Well done!!!!
The food is not authentic tasting and not very good at all. Ordered Ox Tail Medium plate with dumplings, plantain and a chickpea double and boneless chicken on the side. The dumplings are very bitter although they look AMAZING, very fluffy inside. Plantain was thrown into a paper bag covered in oil. The boneless chicken was literally pieces of chicken taken off of a drumstick, cold and tasteless. The double is very sweet. The ox tail has a nice texture and although it taste good... it doesn't taste like authentic ox tail.
