Had a fantastic time at Trivoli Tavern for a recent anniversary! The ambience, food, service, and wine selection did not disappoint. I’ve passed this place so many times unknowingly while going next door to Green Street Smoked Meats and I’m so glad I finally found a time to come in! Our server was lovely and helped us choose some amazing dishes. I highly recommend the cornbread, the vodka pasta, the steak frites, and the mushroom casserole. I hardly ever order steak at a restaurant because I usually find myself disappointed, but this was truly not the case. The steak was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the truffle pasta which was delicious but not as special as the other dishes. I also just really enjoyed the vibe of the place — it felt very romantic. As for price, it’s definitely not cheap but I felt the quality, portions, and presentation of the food was well worth it. Definitely somewhere to check out for date night in Chicago! We were also treated to a small pour of port wine to celebrate our anniversary at the end of the meal — this was a small touch that was greatly appreciated!!
This place is awesome! A big hit with our wedding group meeting up for dinner. The service, atmosphere and food all amazing! We had a great time hanging out here and this was just outside. Inside has a speakeasy feel, very nicely done! BBQ joint is right next door as well if your interested in that. Overall, great place!
Incredible experience. The staff are super friendly and organized. They are VERY accommodating to allergies. Food and drinks were amazing. The desserts are on the pricier side but I would say the rest is worth it. The calamari was fantastic and we had a vodka rigatoni as well as a wagyu burger which were also great. Wonderful atmosphere. Very worth trying!! They have wine Wednesdays where a lot of their bottles are half off for the day which was also a great unexpected deal! Will be back!
It’s such a cute vibe for happy hour or a nice dinner. Granted we sat outside on the patio for dinner but got to walk through their cool, cozy yet bougie dining room in order to make it to the restroom. Honestly even their bar area is was a great vibe. I’ve even here for happy hour a couple times now because I love their deal. I highly recommend the old fashion, wines and of course their teeny martinis. You can’t go wrong with any of their happy hour snacks!
The place was awesome! The ambiance and the food was phenomenal. I ordered their Vodka Rigatoni and it was flavourful, my only issue was the pasta was a little undercook but their Bolognese was really good . Their drinks was also good we got their Bees knees and Daiquiri. The desserts were a big portioned so you can share it amongst everyone. We celebrated my friend's birthday here and he got a complimentary ice cream and hot fudge. Overall, was an amazing experience.
Beautiful restaurant! Dined at the bar. Was transported to the past with the mixed ambience of late 1800s Victorian England with Chicago touches. Observed Oysters on the Half Shell, Pigs in a Blanket, and Steak with Fries. Tried the Pike Fish & Chips with homemade Remoulade. Was a little over fried for my taste but willing to try other dishes. Looks like a great place to have an dinner & drinks with a small group. Reservations are available online for a $2.50 fee. Worth it!
Behold an old Garment district building with a RESTAURANT entered through a cobblestone courtyard. Beautifully Greeted in A small speakeasy style foyer and escorted into a wonderful wood paneled cozy and comfortable room.Music loud but with a good vibe. Perfectly crafted Classic cocktails. Food creations by a renowned chef. Some heavy with salt. Pricing expensive $300 for 2 and well worth it.Service, professional, timely, efficient, excellent. Parking valet cost up to $30. Well worth it. A great occasion very special destination . I want to go back. A Chicago Jewel. AWARDED 2.5 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3.0
The atmosphere here was unique, a darker room with variety of seating options. Our server was friendly but not very attentive. Our cornbread was our favorite part of the meal. The gimlets were okay, not great, I didn’t even finish mine. Overall, the pasta was so good but I felt like the portions were small for the price.
What an amazing atmosphere, having that old rustic American restaurant/bar feel. Came here for a birthday dinner with my parents and was well taken care by the servers and front desk hostess. Couldn't have a more pleasant time there with the nicest people. The food was great although it did lean on the saltier side especially on the truffle pasta we got. The dry aged Chicago prime rib was absolutely amazing and the ribs had a great sweet and tender flavor to it. It was all topped off by their fantastic drinks. I would highly recommend with the place being not too busy after their happy hour, especially inside. Would highly recommend even if it's just to grab some cocktail drinks, especially if you can grab a seat outside.
This restaurant with traditional Italian ambiance is a perfect setting for trying some very authentic Italian pasta. Their bread alone is worth a second trip. Salad was massive and can easily be shared between two or three people. Service was very prompt and friendly and didn't feel bougie.
