I came to this office trying to use my air miles certificates. I was pleasantly surprise of how easy it was to use them. The lady that helped me was knowledgeable and took the time to find me a great family resort. Thanks to my air miles certificates I was able to save $800.00 on the total package price.

Couple months ago, a Monday holiday, I stopped by Marlin travel of Southgate mall to check for price of a trip I was planning. An older lady was the only worker overthere and she was very rude. She didn't help me. I booked my trip from Marlin travel at south common later.

I have been here twice. First time a gentleman helped me. He was nice and greatly helpful. But the second time an older lady was rude with me the whole time. She also charged me about $80 for "assisting me", which she only brought up after my flight was booked. I find it extremely dishonest. I am sure she could have mentioned it at the beginning. I found her attitude toward me over all malicious. I think you deserve to know this.

Don't go here if you don't have to! The first agent I dealt with was helpful and seemed to be committed to making our wedding trip stress free and memorable, however when she took off for medical leave shortly after we booked (no heads up about this), all the customer service went downhill from there. We booked 24 people through this Marlin location. Response times to phone calls or e-mails were absolutely terrible, sometimes took weeks and multiple tries to get a response. In some instances we just needed a response to give them a payment! They were incredibly disorganized, as well. My mother in law actually received a phone call requesting if a random name could join the wedding group(probably a phone call that should go to the bride, don't you think?); payments for tickets were requested of people who's names weren't on the tickets (Calgary guests asked to pay for those traveling from Vancouver, no relationships between them). E-tickets ultimately had the wrong departures and names that didn't match passports and had to be changed last minute (absolutely no double checking or attention to detail observed here). Once we got to the hotel they supposedly contacted for us, all the room requests weren't received and we had to fight with the Barceló the moment we arrived (which kicked off our wedding week vacation to a good start). I did more babysitting and ensuring everyone's documentation was correct, than the agent did for us. It was a make-work project dealing with Marlin Travel Southgate and we will never go back. When I asked why we've seen so many errors and had so many confusing phone calls, the Branch Manager actually said in response "we're human and we make mistakes...". I fully understand and accept that when people are busy mistakes can happen, but the same mistakes made multiple times or repeated simple mistakes due to lack attention to common details is unacceptable, especially when this is your core business and this group booking is bringing in a lot of money to your branch. As a last note of dissatisfaction, the wedding registry we had asked them to set up early in the process, never was, but that's probably a blessing in disguise because now we're not forced to spend money with them again. Literally the only thing I was happy about was the fact that the transfer we booked through Marlin, from the airport to the hotel, was there and ready for us upon arrival. Save yourself the hassle and don't go to this agency, ESPECIALLY for a group booking and if you're a bride, please spare yourself the stress. It's a ridiculously busy time as it is and you don't deserve the disorganization and the extra challenges that came with dealing with this Marlin location.
