I came to this library with my mom group. I always love exploring new libraries and I’d say this was a gem!nnThey have a sensory room that you have to book in advance so I didn’t get to try it.nnBut the space itself is big. They have stroller access, parking, elevators and snack/vending machines. My son had a great time running around and playing with the busy boards.nnA plus, they have free female products in the bathroom!
Spacious library! With great and friendly staff!nLower / basement level has huge space for kids and some refreshments to buy. Loved the spaces which are divided for different age groups
I love this library and every library in Toronto, BUT they're challenging to enjoy these days.nnThe TPL collection is great and the personnel are knowledgeable and helpful, but I can't stand being inside the library anymore. It's a place to collect items and promptly leave.nnThis one in particular often stinks because of the homeless people trying to keep warm I get it, but also not the intended purpose of the library system. The chairs are stained and often stink.nnThere are also a lot of teens/preteens who run afoul of the rules and make it less enjoyable.nnWe need rules around minimum levels of hygiene, cleanliness, and behaviour to be created and or enforced.
We enjoyed the library the kids area is big and have a lot of entertainment for them. Also, I scheduled a spot for the sensory room, and it was amazing, too. Highly recommended.!
This library is a good place to go if you need a quiet place to study or work. There are tables with electric outlets near for laptops that look out over green space and comfy chairs for reading. It has a good selection of fiction and non fiction books, DVDs and audiobooks, and a great children's section downstairs.
