I was at the library with my kids and a young man accosted me. He started screaming in my face saying he was going to hurt me.nnI managed to get the kids to my wife and she got them to corner in a mother part of the library.nnWhen I finally managed to get out I realised that my wife and kids were inside, so I went to find them - my wife wasn’t picking up her phone.nnA woman who worked there told me that he was a regular and it’s best just not to engage. I heard another woman telling him that if he didn’t stop she would ask him to leave.nnI’m really sad that after this my kids won’t see libraries as a safe place.
I used to visit this library when I was a kid, and now I go back to it and I like the renovations, its modern. It can get a little noisy because of the students from the nearby schools, but its still a great place to study. Its not a big library, so the selection isn't as varied. The staff are friendly and have been working there for a while, so they are a part of the community.
The interior is so nice and the book selection is alright but it has too many..interesting people there and also loud annoying students.
Enjoy my time there every visit. They are thoughtful and very helpful. I love that they have the youth hub. My teen enjoys visiting there and has always felt welcomed. It really helps to keep today's generation connected to the library.
Great library. It's much quieter than your usual downtown TPL but also large enough to accommodate a good number of people. I'll definitely come back more often
