I went to the emergency this week. The emergency doctors were prompt to treat my condition. The staffs were respectful. Overall the emergency area looked clean and uncrowded. Doctors came and checked on me multiple times. The attending doctor was Dr. David Ng. He was considerate and clear in his discharge instructions. I also noticed doctors/ emergency nurses periodically checking on me from outside the room. I am satisfied with the care I received there.
Some of the nurses are....how can I say? Abusive...manipulative...and mean.nBe very weary and careful. Always check that they're following procedure and not trying to kill you in your sleep.nWe had to file a complaint because it got to this point...It was a very scary experience.nnAs for the other things, I like the music/plant room. That helped us a lot when my family was forced to stay there for months on end. I also liked the windows in the room.nnThe food is unfortunately really terrible - just as another tid bit. But what can you expect from a hospital I guess?
My wife needed to attend TGH for a heart procedure.nThis is the third medical treatment she has had for various things in the past three years.nThey have been at 3 different hospitals around the GTA and our experience yesterday was exemplary.nOur destination department was easy to locate, the reception nurse was helpful and kind, wait times were very short.nThe recovery room was a little cold , necessitated by all of the electronics I was told but she was given as many blankets as she wanted by very attentive nurses.nThe doctor was great, calm, confident and capable.nThe nurse- practitioner was thorough and precise with a great bed side manor.nAnd all of the nurses we dealt with were very professional and although busy never hesitated to take the time to answer questions or offer any help we asked for.nThank you to all of the people we met with in a trying time
Came in around 2am. Initially all was good, until they told me to wait inside to see the doctor. I heard they changed shifts around 7am and still have not seen the doctor. Asked the nurse and was told that the doctor will see me when he's free and no time indication. Told them I'm leaving and would rather see a doctor at any walk-in clinic. I left at 8.30am. This is ridiculous. I was in pain and the triage nurse gave me 2 tablets of Tylenol on arrival.
Visited ER yesterday, the residency doctor was really awesome. Helpful, thoughtful and caring. They streamline the whole process, making it faster to see the doctor and get the treatment needed. Every staff I encounter here is professional and caring. Thank you all! It was good experience.
