Congee Noodle House

Comfort food!!! We come here often because, well, there are times that you just want to have some nice simple Chinese food. The food is consistently good and the service is prompt. The fish and the sliced pork congee are our "go-to" breakfast. They also have the standard lunch specials and dinner combos. Always fresh and well prepared.

Place has been here since forever, its a bit dated inside but still clean non the less. Perfect place to drop by for a quick bite or even hosting multi course chinese dinners. The place is pretty big and roomy, but it can get crowded. For the price, the congee and wonton noodle is top notch. Full course meals are pretty decent, their King Crab meals are pretty top ten Usable washrooms, and a small parking lot behind the restaurant. There are plenty of paid street parking, or if you dont mind walking 10 minutes you can find free parking in the neighbourhood.

Great late night hangout with extensive menu. Congee is creamy and tasty. Fried donuts not as crispy as they used to be, used to feel like biting into fried chicken but now just freshly soft. Wonton noodle soup has fabulous wontons with huge chunks of shrimp. Dumplings even better, huge! The barbeque meats are succulent. And the pea tips tasty and crispy.

This restaurant has stood the test of time, its been at this location for decades and they seem to be going strong still. Great selection of good quality food at very reasonable prices for this area, opens late at night. Cash or debit card only, dont expect great service but it's ok.

I didn't realize I hadn't reviewed CNH yet. I owe this place a huge 5 stars. A Vancouver institution for authentic Southern China Hong Kong Cantonese style food. Have been coming here for late night munchies since the days I was just old enough to go clubbing. They have been known to make exceptional BBQ duck soup noodle but most dishes are great even as take out. Thank you Congee Noodle House - you're always consistent and open.

Tasty and reliable congee and Hong Kong style Chinese dishes. Place isn’t that clean but the food is good. No organic dishes. Good for groups. Congee is a bit of an acquired taste, but if you like it, it’s good here. Recommend the Hong Kong Style Minced Beef if you’ve never had congee before.

I have visited few times. The style looks like the traditional tea restaurants in Hong Kong with familiar feeling. The wanton size is a bit different from tradition one ok but dumpling is good. The pork and roast duck rice is just ok too. Congee taste is not strong but the rice noodle roll is good.

This is my one of favorite family homemade Chinese cooking style restaurant in Vancouver.The atmosphere and service are poor but the foods are tasty and the price is reasonable.

I am 20 years customer. Food and service when down hill. I complaint the noodles, the meat are too dry l can not swallow at all. I only have 2 bite of meat and have heartburn right away. They refused to change my dish. This is first time in my life eat the food and have heartburn. Everyone do not go to this restaurant. Vancouver do have lot of good Chinese restaurant.

Simple Cantonese comfort food done well. The 4 ginormous won tons in the noodles filled me out in no time. The Chinese broccoli was cooked through just right at all dente. The house made chili was a killer. One star off for the chaotic front trying to get seated.
