The dim sum is good - a variety of different types of elevated Cantonese food from noodles and rice dishes, rice rolls and the other traditional dim sum that are nicely plated. It was not overly salty like a lot of places. Really spacious interior and great service. The staff are very attentive and refilled our water and tea quite frequently. Also parking is reimbursed and plentiful. Definitely will be my go to place
I was invited to join my friend's baby's 100th day dinner. Room: We had a private room that has screens, stage, TV and karaoke . The room was big enough for two tables of 10. But it seems with all the kids seating, we could have fit more people in. Food: The food is really good. We had mostly seafood. They felt authentic Chinese food. I enjoyed the food a lot. Service: The servers at the restaurant was quite attentive to our needs. They came to pour wine for us in a timely manner. They changed the plates for us when it was full of scraps. Even the lady worked in the kitchen asked us how the food went when she brought the new dishes out. It seems that they really care about their service and food quality. Lastly, I want to mention that after the table was cleaned up and everyone was about to leave, I asked a waiter for water. I thought he would be just getting me tap water to be convenient. But he went in and got me warm water with a clean and fresh glass. I was impressed by his act. How thoughtful he was! I felt well served and not being disturbed during my time dining. Overall, the experience was great! Kid-friendliness: We had a private room, so kids were able to play within a safe parameter while adults were dining. Parking: Parking: At the end of the dinner, I can validate my parking ticket. I get 15 minutes to leave the parking lot once I validate my ticket. So I recommend using the washroom before you validate the parking ticket. Since it was by the city Square, parking is plenty. But make sure you don't lose your ticket. Otherwise lost tickets costs $30 flat. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator connecting from your disability parking stall P1 to the restaurant 2nd floor.
We had dim sum on a weekday after 12pm when it wasn't too busy. Convenient and free validated parking. Vaccine passports were scanned, ID and temperature were checked. A few air purifiers were placed around the restaurant. Food and service was pretty good. Owner lady was helping out too.
Dim sum was tasty, but maybe not for the price. Only one dish is 7.88, some 9.88/10.88 and the rest about 16.88 or more. A good thing I could say for this is that for those dishes I ordered, you do get what you pay for in size/portion. For two of us, we were well satisfied with 4 dishes, maybe 3 if not big eaters. Bill was about what what I paid at Neptune Palace but only because my items were 9.88/10.88. I find Neptune Palace has more lower-priced choices. As a few other reviewers noted, subpar service if you compare them to Kirin. More similar to a less high-end Chinese restaurant experience. Had to flag them down for everything we needed, but they did respond relatively quickly once you got their attention. Parking is as before when they would validate parking 1 hour probably. Parking is still plentiful in City Square, but the elevator nearest to the restaurant is slow. Parking: Parking is as before when they would validate parking 1 hour probably. Friends of ours recommended the dimsum at Regal Mansion, so we went ahead and made a reservation. We're pleasantly surprised with the food: the portions are generous. Though some have commented on pricing being more, the quantity and quality of food makes the value good. Service was great: all staff were friendly, helpful and overall a great customer experience even though the restaurant was a full house for lunch. Free parking with ticket redemption is a bonus. Kid-friendliness: Our kids enjoyed the pig-shaped dessert buns.
Very authentic flavor for traditional dim sum place. Large dining room for comfortable seating. Loved the sizzling cauliflower with cured meat and soft shell crab.
Delicious and authentic dim sum. I'd particularly recommend the crispy red shrimp rice roll. The lobster was phenomenal too. Good location with convenient parking.
New dim sum place in Vancouver with PATIO dinning!! This replaced the original Kirin Seafood Restaurant location. But they keep the quality of food and excellent service their menu has a combination of innovative dishes and traditional options. I love the coconut chicken soup ordered ahead is required. The rich coconut flavour goes so well with chicken broth. Black swan fried taro dumplings gave me a surprise. It’s filling is different from others, it’s so flavourful I also recommend their black truffle rice roll to all black truffle lovers! However I don’t recommend you the pork dumplings, overpriced but lower than average taste. Regal Mansion Cuisine Seafood Restaurant 555 W12th Ave, Vancouver
We came here for dim sum on Saturday before 10:30am. The place is not busy and almost full around 11:30. I have high expectation for this place because it used to be Kirin and it was one of my fav dim sum restaurants. We have ordered a few dim sum. Their HuangQiao Sesame bun is good. Not many places have this. However, it is not as same as before. The bun is a bit bigger. It is more like a BBQ pork bun with sesame seeds. Their Black Truffle Sui Mai is good to but I would prefer they don’t put black truffle on it. It doesn’t enhance the taste and it might not be real truffle too. I guess the only reason they put truffle on sui mai is because they can charge you more. We have tried their Shanghai Soup Dumping . Long story short, don’t order it. We really like the chef special Soft Shell Crab with Spicy Chili Garlic . It is very good. It is a must try. The spicy chili garlic is the star of the dish. It is not that spicy if you don’t eat the whole chili peppers on the dish. The location of this place is good if you drive. You won’t get wet on a rainy day to get into the restaurant. It is on the top floor of City Square shopping mall. The restaurant provides 2 hours free parking. You need to give them your parking ticket to redeem the free parking if not the first hour cost $4.25.
Ordered salted yolk egg fish skin, crispy red shrimp rice roll, shrimp dumpling, pan fried pork bun, tangerine peel angus beef ball and steamed scallop with garlic. And let me tell you, half of what we ordered tasted awful if not average, especially the pork buns. They’re the most soggy, greasy, flavorless pork buns I’ve ever had. On top of that, most of the dim sum tasted pre-made and neither the atmosphere nor the service can justify the price point they have here. There’re far better places to go for good dim sums in Vancouver.
