A Swiss opens a restaurant anywhere outside of Switzerland and it's usually good. This place is top notch. The menu is a classic, and it doesn't disappoint. Authentic dishes from different parts of Switzerland that anyone will enjoy tremendously especially if you appreciate Italian fare. The wine list is excellent. I go here whenever I am near Banff.

Wanted the Swiss fondue experience. It was 2 blocks from our hotel so we tried it out. Cheese fondue for appetizer was good - bread dipped in hot cheese. My daughter loved it. For dinner we had the beef in hot oil fondue. It was Ok, but not as good as the appetizer, but fun to cook the beef at our table. We were too full to try the chocolate dessert fondue. Service was friendly and attentive. Price seemed a little high for what we got, even knowing this is a resort town where all restaurants are on the high side. Worth coming if you want to try fondue, otherwise I would skip it.

Chef Eric here. Ordered the buffalo steak...It showed up cold! I spoke to the server to have it addressed and they brought me back a microwaved steak. Wife ordered the lobster tail add on to her meal.... It also showed up cold and way over cooked. The manager did come to apologize and he did comp my steak. Wine selection was good but also overpriced. $54.00 for a bottle of Okanogan wine. Really? For how expensive this place was...we expected much better. Service was slow too and it was far from busy. Final word: not returning or recommending

Have been coming to Banff for years and this was the first time I had eaten here. The biggest reason is probably that they are located a couple blocks away from the main action. However, I was craving a good Vienna schnitzel so that was reason enough to go here. I have 2 younger kids and due to “starving” kids we were there just as they unlocked the door, 5:30 and were greeted and seated promptly. I appreciated the kids menu on the table. The waiter was warm and informative. We settled on starting with a cheese fondue with a side of air dried beef and veggies to dip with the bread. the kids each selected a kids meal (1 butter pasta, 1 schnitzel) my wife got the steak with mushroom sauce and I ordered, of course, the schnitzel. The entire meal was served at a great pace, not too fast and not too slow. We were able to enjoy each course. The food was all delicious! My wifes steak was done perfect. My only want was to see a slightly larger portion of schnitzel, but with everything else on the plate it was still a nice meal. Once we were through the fondue, the main course, and the chocolate fondue for dessert, I felt just the right amount of fullness. That and a litre of their house red! Overall, they did a great job and I will be going back on my next visit. Especially to try their wild mushroom soup!

Swiss cuisine from the Italian part of Switzerland with a plenty of the more Alpine cheese heavy dishes sprinkled across the menu. The food is perfect for a cold winter night or at least a chilly fall or spring day. High quality dishes served by very accommodating waiters in a what appears to be original 70s/80s Alpine chic decor.
