The city has a problem with winter calendar parking and ploughs on city streets . Whether you move your vehicle on the right side of calendar parking the ploughing will turn around and plough the snow right up to your doors just so they don’t have to come back down your street again till the next large dumping. And if you call the City to Complain they have no idea what your talking about when you tell them about calendar parking. And again if you call and complain about the ploughs they target the individual who complains. Also the Bylaw officers like to target one street over another on calendar parking days… THEY STICK IT TO YOU REGARDLESS !
Terrible city! I met the most racist officer ever in my life in this city. My boyfriend went washroom and he parked the car for 3 minutes and I was there in the car. She literally saw me in the car but still give me the ticket. I was tried to talking with her but she was yelling at me for stop following her. Terrible city terrible people
Received a parking ticket with time still on the meter on court st, politely called to inquire while time was STILL on the meter 11m the lady on the phone told me they always take the officers word although I offered to send an instant pic of the meter then laughed at me. Unbelievable for someone in this service, was the most childish response I have ever heard. The ticket is ridiculous but not overly bothersome, the fact that someone responds to phone inquiries as she did in her field of work is completely unacceptable and maybe calls should be monitored.
Got ticketed for a parking infraction during a free parking window, called them and they knocked my fee down to a smaller amount, paid it via the telephone. The person I spoke to on the phone was very polite and easy to deal with. So there’s the good and the bad.
terrible - fees are extremely high and maintenance very low in winter months. Also, during pandemic we are still expected to pay for use even if it was only partial months under half the days in the month while others who are working remotely are exempt from fees even though they still hold their spot. During my mat leave I still had to pay my fees for a full year even though I was not parking there at all. How is that fair?
When you give someone a ticket for stopping in front of a fire hydrant and the ticket is wrong. Stopping and parking totally different. That is what happens when you question an "authority figure". Get some more training instead of waisting my time.
Terrible! My car was stolen from that place. I paid lots of money but still no security and no camera. Not safe. Park on the street instead.
parked on 2 hr street for an hour returning 3 hours later to different spot for 45min. but still received ticket even though I arrived while ticket was being written to explain. Had to pay $35.00
