Trends catered once a week for our ladies curling league dinners. They were very accommodating, the food was unique and delicious and the service was impeccable. We look forward to working with them again. I also eat in the restaurant on a regular basis and I'm never disappointed. I highly recommend Trends for catering and any sit-down meal!
Absolutely amazing food, you can't go wrong with any of the menu choices! Unique taste that you won't find at any of the other restaurants around. Great environment for date nights, lunch dates with friends or business meetings. Overall I loved my experience!
Came to the bistro for Sunday breakfast. We called before arriving because they require reservations. The seating is small and the appearance is dated. The chairs are spongy and uncomfortable. We ordered the fast break breakfast. The coffee tasted like dishwater. The eggs were supposed to be over medium. They were rubbery. The sausage was bland. The best part of the meal was the rye toast. This is not a place I'll come back to.
Like others have mentioned, the service while pleasant is not great here. Unfortunately, neither was the food in my opinion. Wings definitely had that "pre-cooked" taste and texture, I've had better poutine in the US which says something and although the burger was touted as made in house still looked frozen with little seasoning. Seemed to have some locals that were regulars but can't say I'd be back.
Come here to try their breakfast and so glad we tried. Breakfast are served till 2pm on weekends. We had their special of the day. 2 eggs, 1 choice of meat and 2 pancake for 5.50. Coffees are free with any meal. Can't beat that price and food was cook properly. Definitely will come back and bring friends.
Left a 5* review 2 years ago but after at least two changes in ownership and a really bad meal there last night I had to update. We loved the original Trends when it opened on Queensway and even when they moved to LRInn seemed fine. But the last few visits have been a disappointment and last night was dismal. My son ordered a striploin med rare steak was overcooked on thin side grey and was BLUE rare on the thick part. Greasy black grill marks looks like it was dethawed in a MW then thrown on grill - no seasoning no taste. My ribs were huge portion of side ribs that I couldnt cut through to separate even after asking for a steak knife. The membrane hadnt been cooked down and the one I did separate was tough as old leather. Didnt eat them. Whats Up Trends!! If you dont have the talent to cook fresh meals then dont try to be that restaurant. I hear there is some amazing chinese cooking going on there now so showcase that and abandon the Trends brand because it no longer exists.. Owner was gracious and did take 50% off our bill and a coupon but we wont be back. Not unless Trends gets a new name new cook and fresh menu. So few GREAT dining places in Simcoe to see the downfall of this one has been sad.
Since coming under new management the menu is very condensed to make room for some Chinese food opinions at feel out of place. There is a cheaper feel and the food is only ok, not great not horrible, and honestly not really worth the time.
Trends is a great restaurant when you just can't make up your mind on what to eat. There are so many different options to order; any age group could go to trends and find some thing they will love!
fantastic food, butter chicken curry is great! although pricey!! I do wish it came with more naan bread and rice, however it is fantastic food.
Went for breakfast which was ok. Ordered eggs and sausage expecting breakfast sausages. However it was 1 large sausage which I did not enjoy. Nice atomosphere and friendly staff.
