Great food, excellent service...it's my go-to lunch spot!

We have not been to the Thirst Duck Pub for a few years, having stopped going because of mediocre food quality. We had heard that the food was improved, so gave it a chance, but it proved to be worst than before. I ordered the Thai Prawn rice bowl, and my wife ordered the ginger beef, both dishes totally lack any sense of flavour. The vegetable portion seemed fresh and crisp enough, but the meat portion was totally lacking in seasoning, and there was no sauce to speak of. Just dry rice with vegetables and some pre-packaged seafood or beef stirred in. The waitress was relieved to see the Sysco Food Service truck pulling in, maybe the missing flavours were on it, certainly was not on our plates. The service was adequate and the atmosphere was acceptable, but the cook needs to go back to school.
Update: I went back reluctantly for a LL baseball team fund raiser, was again very disappointed in the food, service and staff attitude, not going back.

I took my daughter out for a birthday lunch. The service was great, and so was our meal!

Slow but friendly service, decent selection of beer. Food prices seemed expensive for what it is, I had the reuban and it was so salty I almost threw it up. Probably wouldn’t go back
