Cartwright's Pub Castlegar BC

Cosy and welcoming. I'm new to Castlegar, locals were very friendly and outgoing, the owner picked up my beer tab. Didn't even know he was the owner,down to earth real people. I will become a regular for sure. What a change from Alberta. 5 Star

The outside of the pub is deceiving, the inside is a gem! Very cozy, warmly decorated with a homey feel. The service was good and the food came quickly. My boyfriend and I both agreed that the food was good and delicious!

Winged Me! Great little pub with a home town feel. Exceptionally fast service without the manic pace of a BP or major bar chain and prices almost a full third le$$. Interior is a hybrid of beautiful stained glass murals brightly lit by antique lamps complimented with a light pine trim that everyone feels comfortable in. FOOD Mannn...even the wings are prepared and presented in a tasteful and tasty manner. TIP try the "Sticky Asian" and "Lemon Pepper" flavor wings perfectly fried and spiced by the wizkid protege in the kitchen who is i hear just on this side of child labor laws ; D. Its not often I am impressed by cheap wing nights! Other highlights are the Steak Sandwich and their FULL Ceasar Salad (make sure you ask for a slice of lemon and xtra bacon bits to make it rock.) Honestly, in a year of frequenting this gem I have Never had a bad meal here. So help my Gobb. Cheers!

Nice wooden bar and decour. Great wings, well cooked and good size. Okanagan Spring Pale Ale on tap. Definitely worth stopping in.
