Great food, amazing coffee. I love this cafe so much. It smells amazing in the mornings when they are making fresh croissants. Wide variety of sandwiches, all with high quality ingredients. My favorite thing to do is get an espresso and enjoy it on their little patio. They sell so many pastas, chips, treats, gelato, and other foods, I could eat here everyday and never get sick of it.
It takes discipline not to go here every day!! The coffee is amazing and the food is wonderful. The sandwiches are Italian- beautiful balance of filling to bread- I love the thin bread they use instead of big buns. It’s not an American meal, it’s a modestly filling sandwich with fresh perfect ingredients This place is Italian in its warm businesslike service- right out of the centre of a busy Italian city, in my book. Service is prompt and friendly, deserts are delicious and the groceries authentically Italian. I’m so happy you’re I’m my neighbourhood!
Amazing sandwiches. Super fresh and good quality ingredients. Delicious Italian combinations. For lunch, I would suggest to have sandwich and dessert because sandwich itself is not enough for a full meal. Comforting atmosphere and friendly staff! Only one minus, I got latte that was barely warm.
I stopped by for breakfast on my way home and had the caprese panini and a hot chocolate. Both were delicious. They absolutely nailed the sweetness level of the hot chocolate. They had decent vegetarian options available too! In addition to the espresso bar and paninis, there was also an array of Italian grocery specialty items available. All in all, a great spot to shop at.
Reply to the owner: Thanks for your reply! It was a double shot as I remember the lady asked if I'd like to add an extra shot. 5 stars: We had a really good iced americano and hazelnut croissant. 3 stars: The Smoked salmon with Brie sandwich was very bland. And our iced Latte was quite diluted.
Had their pistachio croissant/cornetto. Im not going to lie i was a little dissapointed by the amount of creama de pistacchio inside the cornetto - i think a solid half of the cornetto was lacking it. The pastry itself was probably and 8/10 - not the best but certainly nice. They had alot of other interesting Italian desserts at the store as well - perhaps worth trying another time.
So happy to see this restaurant open up here. Walked up to check it out and decided to stay for a couple of fresh made panini’s and a house made soup. Both the Italian Chicken Club and VIP Sandwiches were perfect from the super fresh bread to toppings and spreads. Chef Volpari makes a lovely velvety butternut squash soup. The pasties were quite picked over but what remains looks great. Can’t wait to come back for a coffee and biscotti. They carry some imported beverages like Italian Iced Tea and a variety of SanPellegrino canned beverages. They have free wifi and lots of seating plus a couple of tables outside too. Hearing the owners working while speaking Italian to each other is always fun to hear in the background and makes the experience here that much better. They’ve only been open a week so come by before it gets crazy busy!
Love this new cafe in Annex! So cozy so authentic! Owners are a cute Italian couple, bring their traditions with a fresh new twist to Toronto! Welcome to the neighborhood and we love to see more cool place like this!
Hands down the best Italian cafe in Toronto! I'm a foodie and I live in little Italy so let me tell that I'm an expert and Think. It changed my life! My daily dose of happiness! The best Sandwiches, Coffee, Croissant that they bring from Italy and bake it daily, best deli the Lasagna is outstanding, and the best Balsamico in town are there!!! No need to mention they bake all the pastries and breads daily there! Every thing is super fresh! And most importantly the owners are super friendly and lovely! They make me feel I'm in ITALIA in Toronto! so so so grateful for this gem in our neighbourhood! Grazie! Grazie for keeping us happy specially in the year of COVID!
This is by far the best coffee in Toronto and I drink a LOT of coffee... nothing fussy, just expertly brewed and rich espresso drinks. Marzia and Enrico are the best hosts - and also cook fantastic lasagna and baked goods.
