Good food, great service. Closes early, staff pleasant but they don't like late arrivals. Best pizza in Kingston. Not very child-friendly, a plus if you're an adult without children.

Nice fish and chips, and being on the island makes any meal taste better anyway. Service was prompt, and the meal arrived very quickly. The locals eating there can be a bit noisy, but I was on their turf, so let them be.

Good pizza. Not a very good beer selection however.

I ate twice at the WIPP in the space of twlve hours with a friend. The menus were totally different each time (for dinner and breakfast, respectively), but both meals were highly satisfactory.
Dinner: We arrived shortly before closing. My companion and I shared a large Allanator pizza with beer. The request for extra sauce with light cheese on one side was handled well. The pizza had a good dough-topping ratio, and is definetly a notch or two above your standard chain pie. Unfortunately the WIPP only has one tap, a real rarity for a place that calls itself a pub. However, Steamwhistle is a decent choice if one only has one tap.
Breakfast: The Breakfast menu is a one-pager that contains all the essentials. My friend had the breakfast special, the same found in any breakfast spot (2 eggs, toast, choice of meat, homefries, coffee). Quote: "That hit the spot!" My western 3-egg omelette was pretty much as good as it could be without getting fancy with it, and also hit the spot.
I haven;t said anything about the service yet because I didn't need to; they simply did their job and allowed the meal to be about the food and catching up with my friend, obviously a good thing. Prices are decent (not amazing, but decent).
A 5-star version of the WIPP would have more taps and chicken wings on the menu, but otherwise it's a good place to eat.
