Story

Located on the south side of the village, we are close to all the attractions; The Elora Gorge, The Grand River Raceway and Casino, the unique stores of the core Elora area, walking trails, including the Elora-Cataract Trailway, conservation areas, restaurants, and more all just a few minutes away. Two wonderful restaurants are right on the premises. Fergus, St. Jacobs, Elmira, Salem, Rockwood, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Guelph all just a short drive from Elora.

The Village Inn is in an excellent location just outside of the Elora town centre. It was easily walkable to the venue we were visiting in the middle of town. The desk service was prompt, however considering we completed our booking online with our personal information it was a pain to fill out a guest registration card with the same information. The room was simple but very clean and the bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated. We had a fridge and ironing board but no iron. The bed was large and firm but nothing I would want to spend multiple nights on. The curtains clearly needed replacing as they were filled with holes. Upon leaving we were warmly greeted by the housekeeper who was very friendly and the manager quickly gave us a call after finding a lost item. Overall a decent budget motel for a short stay.

Rooms were decent. No confirmation numbers. Conversation re nightly cost on phone are conveniently forgotten and have to pay current rate. Poor attitude. Ask for 2nd bucket of ice and told to go buy more if you need it. Very skimpy on continental breakfast. No night staff and if you need something and have to wake them up via buzzer nothing but complaining.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The customer service at this hotel is horrendous, he was extremely unpleasant and went back on his word multiple times. I was quoted $90 for our stay and was charged $110. The lock on our sliding door was broken, when we asked about it he knew and didn't think it was a big deal. Very disappointed with this stay for our wedding.

Nice and clean; great rooms and great location. Perfect for families. Across from Casino and 5min walk to downtown. They serve coffee & snacks in the morning. Convenience store & Subway & A restaurant next doors.

The room simple, with a small fridge, king size bed. The wifi was intermittent in the room but we found the hotel and room clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. I didn't give it 5 stars because the furniture was a little banged up, there was no coffee maker in the room but coffee was available in the lobby. Bonus points for satellite television.
