I have a couple friends who have a place here. We decided to visit and found the park to be a very friendly and nice place. The staff at the front gate were great and very helpful. When we went to find parking during an event the staff were very polite and organized and directed us where to go and kept things moving. We loved the Hip cover band and the food trucks! What a great place!
Rating as a trailer owner. 3rd year here. Hard to give a 5 star review because of their new and "improved" let's charge for everything mind set. The campground is very well maintained, staff are friendly, it's clean but they charge you for breathing! The annual fees are not only high but they keep raising them and basically, even if they have responsible owners, I feel like they couldn't care less who leaves, obviously because they claim they have a waiting list yet phase 3 and their new 3.5 has lots of empty spots hard to fill if you have to pay anywhere from 150 to 250K plus 10to 15K annual fee. All in all we enjoy it for now mostly because of the people we've met. They also keep adding rule after rule that make no sense general consensus. You can't build your own deck, you have to hire their people, you can't landscape, hire their people, no patio stones, hire their people. Need your trailer inspected? Hire their people. This part is just plain ridiculous as there is no chance to get price comparisons. Maybe a better idea would be for them to allow your own people to do the job and them approving prior to job starting?
Very clean campground. Lots for kids to do. If you're looking for a quiet adult only camp ground. This isn't the place. Labour Day weekend, so much set up for the kids. They loved it
Really nice place. Specially the section 2, we got p2 and it was wonderful, near the restrooms, pool and playground. It was out first time camping with the kids. Best advice of course is to collect all food and garbage at night and put it inside the car because raccoons come at night.
1st time glamping here with the kids and it was incredible. They had complimentary activities such as blow up castles, mechanical bull, blow up slides, etc during the long weekend. They also had food trucks, and a live free concert for all the guests. What was a little over the top was that they offered helicopter rides, yes I said helicopter rides which landed on the campground "crazy!" Most of the guests here seem to be permanent residents who either reside in large cottage style trailers or large mobile trailers. If you have pets they have one of the coolest pet friendly dog areas with what seems to be a large playground for dogs to play. The overall vibe at this campground was friendly, people were respectful, responsible and considerate of other campers so they were no annoying park rangers policing people that are trying to have a good time. We have already booked a return visit.
Transient site F13 - do not recommend. Park itself was huge & great amenities multiple pools, beach, pond, pkaygrounds! However the transient sites are mostly RIGHT on the highway. Constant lights & vehicle noise all day & evening. Got woken up by pre-teens screaming & running at 3am. Told park staff next day, they didn't care. Overall its a nice park with multiple sections, but if you're in the F section, expect noise, lights & a rough sleep.
We will not be returning. Been here 3 times and everytime it has gotten worse. Was accused and almost kicked out for something we didn't do and when we complained about it the neighbors were then accused and almost kicked out until it was discovered it was all a misunderstanding! There is constant noise and no privacy what so ever, you may as well be in the city! The firewood is very over priced as well.
Have you been to Sherkston? This is my view and my opinion. Yes! Sherkston is a great place has lots of amenities but this park is breathtaking and it’s not even done yet. Not only is the park grounds beautiful but so are the people always waving always had smiles on their faces. The pool was well maintained with hot tub. The trailers in here are so beautiful each and every one of them had their own personality. Front desk was very nice and so was the staff. I have nothing negative to say about this park.
Always use their rv dump station upon return from trips around the area. $10 charge is very reasonable. Lots of Diane for large rv’s to get in and out. Dump station itself is always tidy and well maintained.
Absolutely love it here!! It's got a ton of amenities and recreational activities. The front desk staff are very knowledgeable including Erin!
