We highly recommend the Village Bake Shoppe for your wedding dessert needs! We went in for a free cake tasting upon recommendation from friends who loved the cake that they had for their wedding and we fell in love with the banana and oreo cupcakes! Lindsay and team did a great job with both our rehearsal dinner cake to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday and our wedding reception cupcakes. Everyone was raving about the cake for weeks after and hubby and I happily ate the leftovers for breakfast after our wedding : Highly recommend!
Fantastic bakery. Huge selection of all different types of desserts, also serving hot food, breakfast sandwiches Etc the berry pies were delicious, banana bread was soft and moist, cookies were soft, however the buttercream frosting didn't have much flavor to it, just a general sweetness. The lemon Danish had homemade lemon filling which was really great, nothing from a can. The pastry part was a little dense and dry. The brownie was very soft and moist, but the flavor was mediocre. Service was good. Would definitely stop here anytime I'm in the area!
My husband and I booked The Village Bake Shoppe for our wedding on 11/1/24. Our overall experience was fantastic right from the very beginning! Booking our tasting online through their website was quick and simple. For our tasting appointment Lindsay went above and beyond! Most of the other bakeries in the area limit you to just a few cake samples, but not at The Village Bake Shoppe. Lindsay provided us with so many different & delicious dessert samples such as cakes, cookies, brownies & macarons. They provided us with information on multiple dessert table options that were reasonably priced & we were able to customize them to our liking with ease. Lindsay also asked very detailed questions about our wedding vision, so that they could provide us with the prefect cake & dessert table. We left the appointment knowing we had found our bakery! On the day of our wedding everything was perfect! The dessert table was set up beautifully & our cake was exactly what I had envisioned. Our guests raved about how delicious everything was. Thank you so much Village Bake Shoppe!
My husband and I enjoyed this restaurant. It was very quaint and home-like. It was nice to meet Mike, the owner who welcomed us and introduced himself. Diane was a delight to meet. Very friendly.
Had horrible experience 2 times in 6 days. Ordered Cannoli cheesecake for my buddy's birthday last weekend, apparently they put cherry chips in a regular white cannoli cheesecake without telling you, and it wasn’t ideal for a Cannoli and he wasn’t happy with his birthday “cake” and barely ate it.nnWhen I was picking that one up, I Placed a second order in person for my birthday today…….6 days later……. and they lost the order and now it’s 4pm on my birthday night and I have no dessert for my birthday.nnWhen she took my order in person last week, she even forgot to write down the date and called me on my drive home and said I forgot the date and I told her next Saturday today and they still lost my order.
